Andrei Sobolev - Senator of the Federation Council from the city of Sevastopol

Andrei Sobolev is a well-known musician and politician, member of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation. In the political arena represents the interests of citizens of Sevastopol. In addition, he is the general director of the weekly "Polygraphy", he is a member of the editorial staff of the newspaper Sevastopolskaya Gazeta.

short biography

Andrei Sobolev was born on December 1, 1954 in the village of Gremikha, which is located in the Samara region of the Murmansk region. He received his higher education in 1990, at the Kiev Agricultural Academy. As a main direction, I chose the specialty of a forestry engineer.

At the end of the academy Andrei Sobolev moved to live in the city of Sevastopol. Here he quickly acquired the necessary connections and soon, together with his companion, dug his own OOO Polygraphy. In combination, he served as deputy editor-in-chief in the weekly newspaper Sevastopolskaya Gazeta.

Sobolev always considered Mr. Sevastopol his home. That is why he, without regretting his own resources and forces, did everything possible for the development of this city. For example, in 2009 Andrei Sobolev, along with like-minded people, established the Popular Front Council "Let's Restore Sevastopol". He is also one of the founders of the annual song festival "Balaklava holidays".

Political activity

After the Crimea joined the Russian Federation, Alexei Sobolev decided to go into politics. He argued that it was time for great changes that could serve the good of his city. In 2014 he receives the support of the majority of voters and passes to the deputies of the Legislative Assembly of Sevastopol.

In the same year, Sobolev receives the post of senator of the Federation Council. In his work he is responsible for the scientific and educational sphere of Sevastopol. Talking about the current state of affairs, it is recognized that the most problematic is the school sector, since he is now at the stage of transition to the Russian system of the Unified State Exam.

Attitude towards Ukraine

To the Ukrainian authorities, Andrei Sobolev refers, to put it mildly, dismissively. He is sure that the current political force is a pack of bandits who simply usurped the parliament. In addition, he is genuinely indignant at their provocative actions aimed at destabilizing the situation in the Crimea. For example, the infamous energy blockade in November 2015.

Andrei Sobolev assures that joining the Russian Federation is nothing but the honest will of the Crimeans, and therefore no one has the right to condemn him. Such actions will not be able to change this, which means that the Ukrainian authorities should stop their unsuccessful attempts to influence them.

Creative talent

In the native land of Andrei Sobolev know as a well-deserved poet and bard. It was love of music that prompted him to open the "Balaklava holidays" in 1999. Now, after 17 years, this festival is rightfully considered international.

As for Sobolev himself, he released seven author's albums for his creative career. Many of his songs have become real hits and now sound from the lips of young bards in the streets of Sevastopol.
