Whether it is possible to accept Geksoral at pregnancy

Hexoral is a drug intended for use in diseases of the larynx, oral cavity and pharynx. This agent is characterized as antiseptic and antimicrobial, used for local use. Most women, when they begin to feel pain in the throat, come to the pharmacy, they buy this drug - proven and effective. But is it possible to use Geksoral during pregnancy, are there any contraindications to this effect?

To answer this question, one should listen to the opinion of doctors and read the instructions of the drug. But in some of them the exact answer is not written, that is, Geksoral during pregnancy can be used only in individual cases, but not for all women. This drug is prescribed based on the individual indicators of the future mother. Also, the benefits for the woman and the risk for her fetus are correlated. In many cases, it is better to abandon this drug, since there is no evidence that it is impossible to penetrate the placental barrier of the components of Geksoral. In other words, it must be said that this remedy has not been fully tested by pregnant women. And so it's better not to take risks, but use more gentle methods - to brew and drink chamomile, to take other medicines that will allow future mothers.

In any case, when a woman in the "position" starts to have a sore throat, the advice of her treating doctor is needed, only he can prescribe a safe remedy according to the individual parameters of the future mother. It is not recommended to engage in self-medication here, in addition - it is not even welcome. After all, a mother can harm not only herself, but also the developing fetus. Even if Geksoral during pregnancy does not manifest a negative effect, it can be a source of other diseases in the future. Well, this is the case if the given mother was not recommended for the mother, but she still accepted it.

Gescoral is not only a drug for pain and sore throat. It is effective in such diseases as angina, stomatitis, acute respiratory infections, aphthae, glossitis, pharyngitis, thrush, and many others. This remedy is recommended for general oral hygiene, when a person is ill, as a deodorant if there is an unpleasant smell. In addition, Geksoral perfectly copes with bleeding gums, with injuries and damage to the larynx and oral cavity, and also it is used for the purpose of disinfection and protection from microbes. Thus, this drug is recommended for almost all types of oral diseases. But if this is an effective remedy, is it possible for Geoxoral to be pregnant? There is no exact answer to this question, there are also two sides here: those who consider the drug to be acceptable, and even safe for expectant mothers, and those who claim that the drug will only harm the fetus.

To understand what to do in this case, it is necessary to determine what components are included in this drug. So, Geksoral solution composition: active ingredient - hexetidine, auxiliary substances - citric acid monohydrate, eucalyptus oil, clove oil, peppermint, anise oil, saccharin sodium, methyl salicylate, purified water, polysorbate and azorubin. Also there is a preparation in the form of an aerosol, it contains hexetidine, sodium hydroxide, monohydrate of citric acid, mint flavor, saccharin sodium, glycerin, macrogol lauryl ether, purified water and nitrogen. Judging by these components, half of the listed list is no longer understandable. If a simple person is aware of such concepts as eucalyptus oil and purified water, then macrogol and monohydrate are practically inaccessible. In this case, only the specialist will help, namely - the attending physician, who will give the exact answer - is it worth taking Gexoral during pregnancy for a particular woman or is it better to abandon it.
