Aleksin Anatoly Georgievich, "Meanwhile, somewhere ...": a summary, the main characters, the problem

On August 3, 1924, a wonderful writer was born in Moscow, especially liked by readers of childhood and adolescence. However, the drama, and journalism, which also dealt with A. A. Aleksin, were no worse than his prose. The younger generations, both in the Soviet Union and now in the post-Soviet period, are still vividly interested in the books of Anatoly Aleksin. The questions that arise in his works are eternal. Here will be considered a story, one of many of the same fine quality, - "Meanwhile, somewhere ...". A summary will also be presented. In the collection under the first edition near this story there were also interesting and famous "My brother plays the clarinet", "Actors and performers", "The Late Child", "Very Scary Story", "The Day before yesterday and the day after tomorrow" and others.

about the author

Alexander Alexin is a pseudonym, in life he was Anatoly Georgievich Goberman. So tenderly and at any age a young man does not like life to life. Anatoly Aleksin has experienced much, felt and thought about in his childhood, which is why he is so close and understandable the structure of thoughts of this age. His father, Georgy Platonovich, who made the October Revolution and who fought in the Civil Journalist, was repressed in 1937, but the writer's mother managed to remain not only intelligent, courageous and just, but also very kind.

Almost all the lyrical heroines of Aleksin are provided with certain details of character, habits, and words that were inherent in his mother, Maria Mikhailovna. This is seen in the story "And Meanwhile, Somewhere ...", the summary of which conveys the main quality of the heroine - Nina Georgievna. And this, of course, kindness. Being a schoolboy, Anatoly Aleksin has already published a lot (the magazine "Pioneer", the newspaper "Pionerskaya Pravda", the collection "Flag"). Then came the war, and the writer had to grow up quickly.

Creation

Evacuated from the capital to the Urals, Aleksin at the age of sixteen became first a literary employee of the daily newspaper "Fortress of Defense", and in a short time - the responsible secretary of this body of the aluminum giant being built. In addition to a large-circulation newspaper, with her daily crazy business routine, the writer also worked on his own future works. "Remember this face", "Ivashov", "In the rear as in the rear" and many other stories and novels contain the richest autobiographical material. In 1947, the writer already took part in the First All-Union Conference of Young Writers.

In 1951 he graduated from the famous Institute of Oriental Studies in Moscow and published the first large book. Konstantin Paustovsky, who highly appreciated the talent and kind heart of the young writer Aleksin, became his first editor. This great story was called "Thirty-one days or the diary of the pioneer Sasha Vasilkov." With the easy hand Paustovsky, the book became popular, and the author of it - one of the most favorite writers in the country of childhood and youth. Until 1966, Aleksin wrote for children, and did it admirably. Who has not been on the pages "In the country of eternal vacation"? His novella "Sasha and Shura", "Kolya writes Ole", "Extraordinary Adventures of Seva Kotlov" were read in the libraries literally to holes. But even then the writer thought about the problems of educating youth. And soon these thoughts were embodied in the lines of the story "And Meanwhile, Somewhere ...". The summary already shows how much the problems raised by the writer have become more extensive and more serious.

New stage

In the second half of the sixties and the seventies of the last century, plays, novels, and stories were made that made Aleksin famous among adult readers. Here, first of all, the stories played a decisive role: "Very terrible story", "Call and Come", "Third in the fifth row", "My brother plays the clarinet", "Mad Evdokia" and, of course, "Meanwhile, Then ... ". The summary of this story will be set out below. The trilogy "In the rear as in the rear" the writer made a testimony of the everyday almost imperceptible from the front line, but a huge national feat in the great war. "Heart failure" and "Division of property" show well the high qualities of a Soviet man in the most ordinary domestic conditions.

The eighties brought the readers new stories by Anatoly Aleksin: "The Home Council", "The Bridegroom's Diary", "Signals and Horns", "Healthy and Sick", "Forgive Me, Mom", "Toy" and many others, invariably enthusiastic and with a huge Love perceived by readers. At the same time, based on the novel by Fadeyev Alexin, the play "The Young Guard" was written, several screenplays and many other works in the field of drama, for example: "Let's go to the movies", "Ten-graders", "Return address".

"What" and "How"

The author himself repeatedly explained in his interviews the understanding of the difference between literature for youth and literature for children. Children are very important - HOW written, they tend to brightly feel the imagery, the beauty of the language, the clarity of the stylistics, then they perceive what the author wanted to say in the work. And the youth appreciates literature precisely for the problematics, which worries not adults, but not children. All of Alexin's works are distinguished by their sharpness and topicality (relevance in eternity!) Of problems, issues of morality. Master of the word Alexin gave us a lot of excellent aphorisms, with which it is much easier to find the right way in life. With good it is necessary to hurry that it does not remain without the addressee. Children cry not only over their broken knee, but also when it hurts another. There is no more wise approach to education of feelings.

Here and in a huge number of other lines, the word itself is extremely condensed, the writer was able to invest a maximum of information with the help of artistry in the most minimal number of letters. With all this, there is no gram of dry didacticism for Aleksin. There is always a combination of drama and tension with absolutely musical lyricism and humor, and the composition is built for centuries by proven principles of calling motives or varying the theme. There is no impression of repetition, although often the same method of construction is used, the same problem is raised. "Meanwhile, somewhere ..." - a story that fully meets these characteristics. In terms of volume, it is also not large, but informatively it is huge, the moral height of this work will not leave anyone indifferent.

Now

The writer Anatoly Aleksin is known not only in Russia and the countries of the former USSR. His novels and plays were translated into a huge number of languages, including Bengali, Persian and Hindi. Aleksin willingly reprinted in England, Italy, France, Spain, very fond of in Japan. In all the works of Anatoly Aleksin beats his good heart. It's not for nothing that the writer is a laureate of not only Soviet, but international awards, including the name of Hans Christian Andersen. Many remember the television program, where Aleksin was leading - "Faces of Friends." He also worked extensively in the Writers' Union, in the editorial board of the journal Yunost, and in the committee for the defense of peace. Since 1982, Aleksin is a scientist-teacher, a corresponding member of the APN of the USSR.

And in 1993 he left the country, lives in Israel, writes absolutely "adult" books. Both the material and the thematic component have changed a lot. In 1994, the Saga of Pevsnerah came out - about terror, anti-Semitism, fascism, which maimed humanity, in this case it is considered in the example of one family. Three years later Alexin's novel "Mortal Sin" and memoirs "Leafing Through Years" were published. In these pages, as if the author's inescapable optimism, the belief in the future of mankind, the confidence in the future, which Anatoly Aleksin always filled his work, dried up.

"Meanwhile, somewhere ..."

For the first time this story was found in the December 1966 "Youth" magazine. Subsequently, this work of Anatoly Aleksin was repeatedly reprinted in a variety of collections, anthologies. This edition of 1975, 1977, 1982, 1990, 2000 (only major metropolitan publishers, in total reissues were much more).

In this work, for young people and adults, the world of youth opens up, where the main characters show courage when faced with difficulties, they are full of kindness, uncompromising, ready to fight. Dramatism, interwoven with a kind and very lyrical humor - a distinctive feature "And meanwhile somewhere ...". The genre of the story helps to disclose the most adult and often dramatic aspects of life, to solve such difficult issues as right choice, understanding of oneself and people, feeling in the world strong, mature and in general a good person.

main characters

Sergei Yemelyanov in this story is not alone. This name and this name is worn by both father and son, because around this coincidence and built a harmonious building plot. Family in the full sense of the word is exemplary. Sergei Yemelyanov senior - a worthy role model and father, who can not be proud. Together with his wife - the mother of Sergei Yemelyanov junior - he actively engages in sports, teaches himself the English language, promotes a healthy lifestyle.

And besides, they design plants together, that is, they make the most useful thing for the country. But most importantly, the Yemelyanov family are very beautiful and impeccably obligatory people. As a duty often on a long trip, they write to the son letters - specific, accurate, correctly designed, with the date and time of writing. The son, leaving the house for study, every morning takes out another message from the mail box. But once there were two messages.

Letter

The plot of the story is a letter from an unfamiliar woman, addressed to Sergei Emelyanov, which younger Sergei opened his eyes and read, which forever turned the page of his former life. Carefree childhood ended. Too subtle spiritual changes that occur with the hero, it is difficult to understand the children and adolescence. This story is clearly for older people written. Even the author's tender banter on the model of the family of the main characters is already addressed to youth rather than youth with its maximalism and straightforwardness. The ideal evenness of the parents' relations and even "slightly wrong", but cloudless attitude towards the elder Yemelyanov's mother-in-law - all this appears before the boy in the light of the letter read, not quite as clear and simple as he had seen it all his life.

Childhood ended with the bitter message of an unfamiliar woman, life itself changed, views changed, and a sharp growing began. The book "Meanwhile, somewhere ..." shows to today's young people how great the need for kindness, sympathy, compassion - these human qualities will never truly lose their significance. Not all people are capable of being kind - this is another lesson that Seryozha Emelyanov receives on the pages of the story. This is what Anatoly Aleksin has put at the head of the corner. "In the meantime, somewhere ..." is a litmus test, which even today you can check the person's personal qualities. It is a pity that the work of Anatoly Aleksin left from the modern school programs in Russia. His novels are unforgettable lessons of morality, which will always be said that they are "about us" - and in fifty years and two hundred and fifty. Anyway, today - it's just still about us.

Another woman

If you need to protect a person, do not ask for permission ... Such small postulates fill the entire fabric of the text of the work. What was in this letter, which turned all of Yemelyanov's younger life? It turns out that his exemplary father was not always that way. He was very seriously ill after being wounded at the front, and Nina Georgievna, the hospital doctor, where he was treated, was leaving him. It was she who sent him to the channel of a healthy lifestyle: terrible insomnia, seizures, lack of appetite and many other consequences of injury could be overcome only by harsh treatment and sports. When Yemelyanov-senior was cured, fell in love with the other and left Nina Georgievna alone. But the letter is not about it.

She writes that she forgave everything, but now she is extremely unwell, and she is waiting for help. That it is much worse than it was then, after the departure of Emelyanov-senior. Because the loss this time is not her husband, but her son. Shurik - foster child, whom she raised, suddenly found real parents. And now he, already an adult, ran away like a child, quietly collecting things and not saying goodbye. Immediately Nina Georgievna writes that this can also be understood. Sergei Jr. decides to visit her, as parents are still on a business trip. Here people live quietly, go to school or work, walk, eat, do not suspect anything, while in the meantime somewhere ... The main characters of the story, without the slightest straightforwardness, but also plainly with all their behavior show how destructively the indifference of others.

Why do you need faithfulness?

Yemelyanov, Jr., in the first minutes of the meeting, looked at Nina Georgievna with some suspicion and even jealousy, but quickly believed, felt someone else's pain and shared the warmth of his soul. Visiting her, the boy himself became attached to this woman and, of course, she became very dear. They became friends. The emptiness around Nina Georgievna filled with positive. Yes, and Sergei himself was clearly becoming different: an adult, responsible, capable of giving joy.

Anatoly Aleksin finishes the story by the fact that Sergei Yemelyanov, the youngest, gets a ticket to the sea, which his parents finally decided to encourage him. For a long time he made plans - all winter, every day he thought about his rest. But then another letter came from Nina Georgievna. She did not know what Sergey dreamed about, and therefore refused her vacation, only to see him. The dream of the sea began to fade and melt right before our eyes. Sergei can not allow Nina Georgievna to once again feel such a loss, what were the two former ones. And the fact that he told her the same way, if not more than the previous losses of roads, he knew for sure. Sergei does not go to the sea, he will not betray him. He is reliable and loyal, decent and responsive, with a great soul and kind heart.
