General information
The soldiers who make up the Preobrazhensky regiment carry a guard and garrison service. It also participates in meetings and wires of military and state delegations, giving honors at the funeral. Neutralization of explosive objects on the territory of the capital, excluding self-made explosive devices, is carried out by a mine-clearance team that is part of the 154 Preobrazhensky Commandant Regiment. History of occurrence
In 1979, 154 regiments (Preobrazhensky) were founded. The 99th Commandant's Battalion, as well as the Guard of Honor Company, were included in its composition. The latter was established in 1944. Then it was included in the first regiment of the NKVD division of the USSR (special assignment). The honor guard met many high-ranking guests. One of the first honorary persons was Winston Churchill.
Redistribution of parts
In 1948 on February 6, the 73rd Infantry Battalion received the title Military Unit No. 01904, and the 465th Separate Rifle Company was transformed into a battalion reorganized in the spring of the same year. The subsequent change of name occurred on November 3. Then it was renamed the Separate Commandant's Company. The creation of the 99th Commandant Battalion was timed to April 10, 1979. It was formed in accordance with the instructions of the General Staff. The Orchestra and the Guard of Honor were formed in 1956 on the twenty-ninth of November. They were in direct subordination to the military commandant of the capital of the Russian Federation. In 1960, a special parade uniform appeared at the guard of honor of all types of troops.
Activities and achievements
In the garrison, due to the increased volume of tasks for the guard and garrison service, the instructions of the General Staff for the establishment of the 154th Independent Commandant's Regiment were approved. The 99th Battalion and the guard company became its main branches. According to the staff schedule , the composition of the formation was determined. It included a guard company, two commandant battalions, a support unit and an automobile unit. In formation more than 800 people of personnel passed service. On April 9, 2013, the president's decree was given the honorary name of the "Life Guards Preobrazhensky Regiment". The Honor Guard took part in the ceremonies of awarding the winners of the Olympic and Paralympic Games in Sochi. Composition

- Control. It combines the headquarters and the medical service. It includes a financial, automotive, food, rocket and artillery department. The car company is also responsible for the delivery of servicemen to the points of special operations. The checkpoints of the military motor vehicle inspection and the internal orders of the unit are administered by the supply company. It also performs other tasks. Awards
The official visit of Elizabeth II - the Queen of Great Britain - was successfully prepared and conducted by the Preobrazhensky Regiment. For this, on November 1, 1994, he received a Certificate of Honor from the President of Russia. On August 17, 1995, the formation was rewarded by the Commander-in-Chief of the country again. Honorary mention was made of making a huge contribution to the preparation and holding of the celebration of the fiftieth anniversary of victory in the Second World War. Activities and achievements of the orchestra
Already in the first years of work he was involved in important state events. The orchestra participated absolutely in all the parades that took place on Red Square. The historic procession of 1941 (November 7) and June 24, 1945 is justified pride of the orchestra. The team of musicians performed at the International Festival of Students and Youth, the celebration of the anniversary - the 850th anniversary of the capital and many other significant events. In 1995, according to the government order, the orchestra recorded the national anthem of the Russian capital. Since the team has a wide range of performance, it is able to provide solemn accompaniment of official ceremonies at the highest level. The composition took part in competitions with the participation of military brass bands at international festivals in Switzerland, Austria, Germany, France and the United Arab Emirates. To date, these musicians are the central military musical ensemble of the capital.
Head of the musical collective
Since 2013, the military conductor of the orchestra is Marat Rafikovich Gayanov. In 2000, he became an apprentice at the military unit of 6520. A year later he managed to enter the Military Music School in Moscow. During the training he took a very active part in festivals and competitions. After graduation from the school, the future conductor entered the Military Institute. In 2010 he graduated with honors. In the period from 2010 to 2013, Marat Rafikovich was the military conductor of the orchestra in the Interspecific District Training Center.
