"Sinulox" (for dogs) is a preparation of a wide spectrum of bactericidal action against many strains of gram-negative and gram-positive microorganisms, including those producing beta-lactamase. The composition of the drug is clavulanic acid and amoxicillin.

The first component inactivates beta-lactamase, thereby restoring the sensitivity of bacteria. Due to this, amoxicillin shows its antimicrobial effect, quickly concentrating in the tissues of the animal's body. The preparation is produced in the form of a suspension having a light cream color, and in tablet form.

Appointment

The drug is recommended in the presence of bacterial infections in the respiratory, urogenital, digestive systems, skin and soft tissue lesions.

Dosing regimen

The preparation "Sinulox" (for dogs) in the form of a suspension is injected subcutaneously or into the muscle. The amount of medication is calculated in accordance with the weight of the animal. The recommended dose is per kilogram of 8.75 mg. Injections are carried out once a day. The duration of therapy is from 3 to 5 days. Immediately before use, the bottle of Sinulox (for dogs) is shaken carefully. As a result of these manipulations, the solution should become homogeneous. The administration of the agent is carried out with dry needles and syringes. The place where the injection is made, it is recommended to massage lightly. The preparation "Sinulox-50" is pawned to the animal in the mouth. It is allowed to crush the medicine and add to the feed. Dosage is also calculated by weight. 12.5 mg is indicated per kilogram. Frequency of application - twice a day. The duration of the course is up to seven days. In the severe course of the pathology, a veterinarian may recommend increasing the dose. For infections in the genitourinary system (cystitis, for example), the course duration is 10-28 days, with respiratory diseases - from eight to ten.

Side effects

In animals that are hypersensitive to the components of the drug, the preparation "Sinulox" (for dogs) can trigger allergic reactions. With the cessation of treatment, these negative manifestations pass quickly enough. In case of occurrence of the specified consequences antihistamine medicines are appointed.

Contraindications

The medicine "Sinulox" (for dogs) is not prescribed for hypersensitivity of the animal to the components. The suspension for injections is not administered intravenously and intratracheally. The solution should not be mixed with other medicines in the same syringe. Combined use of the preparation "Sinulox" with bacteriostatic chemotherapeutic drugs is not allowed.
