Underwear made in different countries: a dimensional grid. Bra how to choose?

The choice of a perfectly seated bra is not an easy task. But it is complicated many times, if you buy linen is not a domestic manufacturer, but from Italy, China or Australia. In all these countries for women's underwear adopted its own dimensional grid. The bra is sometimes difficult to choose.

How to determine your size

Before you look for a suitable size in the underwear store, it's worth to determine your parameters accurately. If you know them, then you can easily find your perfect bra.

You probably know that usually the size of the sconce has a numerical and literal meaning, for example 75 V or 80 C, but we will tell in more detail what it means:

• Letters indicate the size of the cup;
• Figures - on the volume under the chest.

From the accuracy of measuring these data depends on the convenience of the clothes you bought. Therefore, put on a soft tight fitting bra without foam rubber and large parts. Stand up straight, exhale and tight, but without squeezing, press a centimeter tape to the body, measure the volume under the chest. Next, measure the volume of the chest at the most protruding points as well, pressing the tape tightly, but not squashing the chest. This data will help you pick up the laundry in any size grid.

European dimensional grid

The brassiere will not have the same size in all European countries, despite the fact that the system is called European. For example, in England or Italy, the sizes of bras are different. However, the European system is widely accepted in Russia, for example, it corresponds to the dimensional grid "Tribune". The bra of this domestic brand will sit perfectly, if it's right to take measurements and choose the size.

The easiest way to use the summary table is to determine the size. In the top line, find the value closest to your volume under the chest. In the column below it, find the numerical interval into which your breast volume falls. In the left column you will find the letter corresponding to your cup. So, for example, your measurements are 75 cm under the chest and 92 chest volume, which means your size is C.

Below you can see the size grid of bras "Infiniti", it fully corresponds to the European system.

Use this approach to select Russian, German and Belarusian underwear. For example, the same grid corresponds to the "Milavitsa" dimensional grid.

Bra from England or the USA

In these countries, a common system of sizes of women's underwear is adopted. It starts with the number 30 and ends with a size of 52. The step between each is 2 centimeters.

Dimensions of cups in English and American nets are in many respects similar to those in Russia. Differences begin with large sizes. So, the Russian E is D, and F generally can have different markings. Visually, these differences can be seen in the table, where this dimension grid is represented.

A bra of the same size will be in Ukraine, so the clothes of Ukrainian manufacture are looking for the same size as the English and American.

Lingerie of Chinese manufacturers

The popularity of Chinese shopping is inexorably growing, and the prices for underwear from China are certainly more attractive than those of European brands, with a decent quality of goods. However, its own features have a Chinese size mesh bra. Russia and our sizes differ from it even if it is insignificant, but it is important to consider it when choosing.

So, the smallest cup is marked A, like our AA, and then all the dimensions are shifted by one letter. Also it should be taken into account that usually the maximum size of a Chinese cup is E, which corresponds to the Russian D. It is also possible to mark in Latin letters, as in the international grid from S to XXXL, but here S is the smallest size, analogue of the European XS.

The Italian sizes of bras

As we have already noted, Italy has adopted its own system for measuring the size of a bra, where the volume under the breast is not marked in centimeters, but in figures from 1 to 12. Since Italian underwear is very popular with Russian women, it makes sense to learn its size in this grid.

To do this, you will need to calculate the difference between your chest girth and girth under the chest, and then the resulting digit divided by 6. This will be the first part of the size. The sizes of cups for Italians also have letter meanings, however differ from Russian. In Russia, the sizes are labeled from AA to G, and in Italy - from A to F, and our smallest AA does not offer an Italian dimension grid at all.

Bra in other systems of the sizes of linen

In addition to the above systems, there are others that are less common in the Russian market. However, they can be useful to those who like Internet shopping or shopping in different countries.

So, there is an international system of sizes of laundry, denoted by letters, similar to how clothes are measured. The sizes of bras begin with XS, which corresponds to a chest volume of 63-67 cm. The largest size of XXXXL is 122 cm.

In Australia, as in England, a step is taken between the dimensions of 2 centimeters, but the smallest in their grid is 8, and the largest is 30.

To determine your purchase size, you can use the tables or special converters that automatically translate your measurements into the desired size grid.

We also note the possibility of fitting parallel dimensions. These are such bras, the size of which in one direction per step is different from yours. For example, a cup can be slightly larger, and the volume under the breast - a little less than yours or vice versa. Sometimes this size can be more comfortable than what exactly corresponds to your parameters. However, it is better to choose such parallel variants only after fitting, otherwise you risk not to get to the size you need at all.
