From the past to the future

The Youth Theater (Vladivostok) did not initially have its permanent place. But this was a temporary problem, and soon - in 1954 - the theater received its permanent residence in Svetlanskaya Street, 15-a.

The building of the theater, which was built in 1876, is considered a historical monument. The facade, of course, was reconstructed, the work lasted 7 years. They were so large-scale that not only workers but also theater actors, students and just young people who wanted to have their own theater in the city center took part in them.

The first performance was put by the graduates of the studio named after M. Gorky. It was a special and exciting moment for young actors who were in love with the theater and in their profession. Naturally, time passed and he began to replenish with actors coming from different parts of the country. Life was boiling here. Only in the first decade the Youth Theater (Vladivostok), or rather its troupe, has staged more than 80 performances.

Actors and directors of the theater

Since then, a lot of water has flowed under the bridge, and now, in the 21st century, an entirely new approach is needed. That is why the theater has updated its director's staff, and to date, you can already see many young and talented directors who brought with them a variety and novelty. The people took it with delight, so today everyone can find something to their liking there, despite the age. Therefore, we can safely say that the Youth Theater (Vladivostok), the poster of which is constantly replenished, is new and modern.

This is confirmed by the fact that in 2016 a new (small) stage opened in the theater.

Most interestingly, over the years, not only domestic filmmakers, actors and artists worked here, but also specialists from other countries, such as Japan, South Korea, Poland and the United States.

Tours were held almost all over the world, which made the theater even more popular and spread its fame far beyond the Far East.

A little about the performances

Everyone knows that the quality of the theater depends largely on the directors. After all, they decide which performances to put, what questions and problems to raise in these representations. And as young and bold directors work in the theater, you can see performances in the repertoire that raise such acute problems as the adaptation of a teenager in the current brutal environment, the difficulties of relationships among children and adults, and many other psychological and important issues.

Under this description is very suitable psychological novel "Hero of Our Time". May 20 is the date when the play "The Hero of Our Time" The Youth Theater (Vladivostok) will show the whole city and the numerous Melpomene fans who will necessarily come to the city in order to see the classics with their own eyes.

"The Hero of Our Time" in the theater

In the image of the main character Lermontov tried to reveal and show to all the vices that reigned among the noble youth of the XIX century. So the performance will be more than interesting and relevant, because even today there are many "Pechorins" who burn their lives without a goal.

The director set himself a great goal: to show the damage of cynicism, inner contradiction and other vices.

In addition, the novel itself is philosophical, it reveals such important issues as the meaning of life and tragic love.

Thus, you can be sure: despite the fact that the novel was written two centuries ago, it is also relevant for today. After all, each generation has its "Pechoryn" - their superfluous, unnecessary people.

Director-director A. Lobygin promises that the performance will be more than exciting and intriguing.
