Works about the Great Patriotic War. Books about the heroes of the Great Patriotic War

War - the most difficult and terrible word, of all known to mankind. As well, when a child does not know what an air strike is, how an automatic machine sounds, why people hide in bomb shelters. However, Soviet people are faced with this terrible concept and know about it not by hearsay. And it is not surprising that many books, songs, poems and stories were written about this. In this article we want to talk about what works of the Great Patriotic War the whole world is still reading.

"And dawns here are quiet"

The author of this book is Boris Vasilyev. The main characters are anti-aircraft gunners. Five young girls themselves decided to go to the front. At first they did not even know how to shoot, but in the end they made a real feat. It is these works about the Great Patriotic War that remind us that there is no age, gender and status at the front. All this has no significance, because each person moves forward only because he realizes his duty to the Motherland. Each of the girls understood that the enemy must be stopped at all costs.

In the book, Vaska, the commandant of the detachment, is the main storyteller. This man with his own eyes saw all the horrors that are happening during the war. The most terrible thing in this work is his truthfulness, his honesty.

"17 moments of Spring"

There are different books about the Great Patriotic War, but the work of Julian Semenov is one of the most popular. The main character is a Soviet scout Isayev, who works under the fictitious name Stirlitz. It is he who exposes the attempt of collusion of the American military-industrial complex with the leaders of fascist Germany.

This is a very ambiguous and complex work. Documentary data and human relationships are intertwined in it. Real characters became prototypes of the characters. According to Semenov's novel, the series was shot, which for a long time was at the peak of popularity. However, in the movie characters are easy to understand, they are unambiguous and simple. In the book, everything is much more complicated and interesting.

"Vasily Terkin"

This poem was written by Alexander Tvardovsky. A person who is looking for beautiful poems about the Great Patriotic War, first of all, should pay attention to this work. It is a real encyclopedia that tells how a simple Soviet soldier lived at the front. There is no pathos, the main character is not embellished - he is a simple peasant, a Russian man. Basil sincerely loves his homeland, with humor refers to troubles and difficulties, can find a way out of the most difficult situation.

Many critics believe that it was these verses about the Great Patriotic War, written by Tvardovsky, that helped maintain the morale of ordinary soldiers in 1941-1945. After all, in Terkin, everyone saw something of his own, his own. It is easy to find out the person with whom he worked together, a neighbor with whom he went to smoke on the landing, a military comrade who was lying with you in the trench.

Tvardovsky showed the war as it is without embellishing reality. His work is considered by many to be a kind of military chronicle.

"Hot Snow"

Yury Bondarev's book at first glance describes local events. There are such works about the Great Patriotic War, which describe a single, specific event. So here - only one day, which was experienced by Drozdovsky's battery, is told. It was her fighters who knocked out the tanks of the fascists, who were approaching Stalingrad.

In this novel, it is told how old schoolchildren, young boys, can love their Motherland. After all, it is the youth who unshakably believe the orders of their superiors. Probably, that's why the legendary battery could stand under enemy fire.

In the book, the theme of war is intertwined with stories from life, fear and death are combined with goodbyes and frank confessions. At the end of the work, the battery, which is practically frozen under the snow, is found. The wounded are sent to the rear, the heroes are solemnly awarded. But, despite the happy ending, they remind us that boys continue to fight there, and there are thousands of them.

"The lists do not appear"

Books about the Great Patriotic War were read by every schoolboy, but not everyone knows this work of Boris Vasilyev about a simple 19-year-old boy Nikolai Pluzhnikov. The protagonist after the military school receives the appointment and becomes the platoon commander. He will serve in part of the Special Western District. At the beginning of 1941, many were sure that the war would begin, but Nikolai did not believe that Germany would dare to attack the USSR. The guy gets into the Brest Fortress, and the next day it is attacked by fascists. From this day the Great Patriotic War began.

The young lieutenant receives the most valuable life lessons here. Nikolai now knows what a small mistake can be, how to properly assess the situation and what actions to take, how to distinguish between sincerity and betrayal.

"The Tale of a Real Man"

There are different works dedicated to the Great Patriotic War, but only the book of Boris Polevoy such an amazing fate. In the Soviet Union and in Russia it was reissued over a hundred times. This book was translated into more than one hundred and fifty languages. Its relevance is not lost in peacetime. People thanked him for the work, which spoke of courage and great love for life. In the main hero, the pilot Aleksey Maresiev, many of those who lost their relatives in war recognized their relatives: sons, husbands, brothers. Until now, this work is considered to be legendary.

"The fate of man"

You can recall different stories about the Great Patriotic War, but the work of Mikhail Sholokhov is familiar to almost every person. It was based on a real story, which the author heard in 1946. It told him a man and a boy, whom he happened to meet on the crossing.

The main character of this story was Andrei Sokolov. He, having gone to the front, left his wife, and three children, and an excellent job, and his house. Once in the front line, the man behaved very dignified, always performed the most difficult assignments and helped his comrades. However, the war spares no one, even the bravest. Andrei burns down the house, and all his relatives die. The only thing that kept him in this world was little Vanya, whom the protagonist decides to adopt.

"The blockade book"

The authors of this book were Daniil Granin (now an honorary citizen of St. Petersburg) and Ales Adamovich (a writer from Belarus). This work can be called a collection, in which stories about the Great Patriotic War are collected. It contains not only records from the diaries of people who survived the blockade in Leningrad, but unique, rare photographs. To date, this work has acquired a real cult status.

The book was reprinted many times and even promised that it will be available in all libraries of St. Petersburg. Granin noted that this work is not a history of human fears, it is a story of real feats.

"Young guard"

There are works about the Great Patriotic War, which are simply impossible not to read. Alexander Fadeyev 's novel describes real events, but this is not the main thing. The title of the work is the name of an underground youth organization whose heroism is simply impossible to assess. During the war it operated in the city of Krasnodon.

About the heroes of the Great Patriotic War, you can say a lot, but when you read about boys and girls who in the most difficult time were not afraid to organize sabotage and were preparing for an armed uprising, there are tears in their eyes. The youngest member of the organization was only 14 years old, and almost all of them died at the hands of the fascists.

The author did not change the names of the most famous representatives of the organization. After all, we all know about Oleg Koshev, Ulyana Gromova and other children who died as heroes.
