Experts believe that the main cause of PMS in women is a violation of the amount of estrogens and progesterone in the second half of the cycle. It is the high amount of the first and the low of the second hormone that lead to the appearance of unpleasant manifestations. A certain role belongs here to the increased level of prolactin.

Normalization of the hormonal background, as a rule, gives good results. Therefore, natural preparations are actively used for the treatment of PMS, for example, "Remens", "Mastodinon", "Cyclodinone", which have similar effects.

Also in therapy are used hormonal contraceptives and gestatgen (artificial progesterone). The intake of these drugs also reduces the manifestation of PMS in women.

To reduce symptoms, doctors recommend moderate physical activity. You need to go in for sports, aerobics, yoga, go swimming, cycling.

It is necessary to avoid stress, sleep 8 hours a day, fully rest, normalize weight. Also, you should exclude or significantly reduce the intake of coffee, alcohol and salt. It is better to give up smoking.

It is necessary to monitor the intake of vitamins and microelements in the body. If they are not enough in food, take complexes. Of particular importance are vitamins B, as well as A and E. Magnesium and calcium are very important.

The food should be a sufficient amount of fiber, but the proteins can not be carried away. Also, you should limit the intake of sweet, fatty and spicy food. In the diet it is desirable to include fruits, vegetables, dairy products, rice, sunflower seeds, legumes, fish. Regular quality sexual life also positively affects.

Thus, PMS in women manifests itself in different ways. If the symptoms are severe and cause anxiety, then you should consult a doctor for advice. With mild manifestations, one can dispense with the normalization of lifestyle and nutrition.
