What is the need for a hydroaccumulator for water supply systems

The hydraulic accumulator for water supply systems is a device whose main function is to store a certain volume of water and maintain the pressure set in the operating system. Very often this device is used to work together with a pump, a non-return valve on a five-way choke and a pressure switch. The hydraulic accumulator for water supply systems is indispensable in the organization of an independent scheme for the automated generation and distribution of water, which is especially in demand among residents of many cottages and rural houses.

Modifications

Depending on the installation method, the hydraulic accumulator for water supply systems can be vertical and horizontal. Proceeding from the considerations of ergonomics, the former are designed for a larger volume, since usually the free space is limited in the horizontal axis, and the increase in the dimensions upwards is completely permissible. The body of the accumulator is made of powder coated black sheet or stainless steel.

Construction and operation

There is an erroneous belief that the hydraulic accumulator for water supply systems is designed in such a way that the internal walls are constantly in contact with water. This is not true. The internal space consists of two chambers - water and air, separated by a butyl septum-membrane. Inside the case there is a constant volume of air (periodic check using a manometer). Water is pumped into a special compartment in the form of a pear (one of the options), which, expanding, compresses the air between the compartment and the walls of the housing. The latter, in turn, begins to exert pressure on the flexible butyl: it is enough to open the tap, as water under the pressure rushes from the tank. Now it is very easy to buy a hydroaccumulator for water supply systems. The instruction must necessarily be attached - it is the type of membrane that is indicated in it, since not all materials from which it can be made are allowed to be used for contact with drinking water.

Auxiliary elements

As already mentioned above, the accumulator itself (HA) is part of the system. In addition to the properly selected pump, special attention is required to be given to the pressure switch - a mechanical device connected to the GA, whose task is to monitor the water pressure in the water compartment. By rotating the special screws in it, you can set the desired upper (trip) and lower (inclusion) limits. It should be remembered that they are highly dependent on the current value of the air pressure in the tank. As a rule, relays are delivered already configured to standard values. Using the same system without a hydraulic accumulator would lead to the fact that when the pump is turned on, the pressure rises sharply, which causes the relay to trip and turn off the motor. However, thereafter, an instantaneous pressure drop occurs and the pump is restarted. Obviously, such a system is operable only in the regime of permanent operation, for example, watering the garden.

Features

Buying a hydro accumulator for water supply systems, the price of which is too low, you need to request all the accompanying documents. Tentatively, we can assume that the lower bound of the cost corresponds to $ 30 (a model for 25 liters for drinking water), and the upper limit, as is usually the case, is not limited to anything. In addition to the membrane material already mentioned, it is possible to encounter other non-obvious features. A metal flange is screwed into the body of the pipeline. It can be made of galvanized or stainless metal. The cost of a quality and cheap flange differs by 2-3 times, so that the total price can be reduced. There have been cases when the whole of the product during the dismantling is internally covered with defects, which causes a rapid rusting of the metal and the appearance of fistulas in the flange. In addition, the tank itself can be covered with poor-quality paint, which significantly reduces the period of its operation, especially in rooms with high humidity.
