We sew the curtains with our own hands

The feeling of beauty is within each of us. Therefore, we are trying to turn our dwelling into a kind of corner of rest and comfort. We make it unlike other houses and decorate it in every possible way. One of the suitable options for transforming the house is the curtains with your own hands.

Making a variety of decor can be your hobby. It is enough to try once to get into the taste. With the help of this fascinating activity, you not only transform your house, but also get rid of numerous unnecessary things, giving them a second life. Let's look at how to sew curtains into the kitchen with your own hands.

First you need to decide on a suitable model and decide what you want to see on the window. At the same time, it should be remembered that the curtains made with their own hands must necessarily be combined with the rest of the kitchen decor. Therefore, you need to think about the basic idea of design. Ideal for a room in which the hostess spends most of its time, will be airy and light kitchen curtains.

You can buy the finished version. In any textile store a wide range of curtains is offered, but it is more interesting to sew curtains by oneself. We measure the size of the window. We will need them to calculate the necessary amount of material and the correct construction of the pattern.

Beautifully look on the window curtains, sewn on the principle of dominoes. For their production any flowing material is suitable, but we will sew them from color chiffon. We need two pieces of fabric, larger than the kitchen window a half and a half wide and 30 centimeters in length. To curtains combined with other elements of the kitchen, we take cuts of different colors. In addition to the fabric, we will need a special curtain belt and an oblique bake of sufficient length to handle two cuts on three sides. The colors are well combined: yellow and blue, green and white, red and yellow, but you can choose any suitable combination.

Making curtains with our own hands, we begin by treating the edges with a skew-eye on three sides. Without finishing, there remains the edge to which the curtain braid will be sewn. After processing the edges, we put pieces of fabric on each other, equalizing the open edges and stabbing with needles on the open cut. We fold the fabric and curtain tape with the faces and sew. We turn the ribbon inside out and, attaching the needles, sew the open edge to the fabric, hiding the untreated cut inside. We collect the curtain, pulling the string in the ribbon to the size of our window, and we get beautiful folds. We hang the curtains on the curtain.

Now it is necessary to fix each cloth on different sides of the window opening with the help of sticks and you can admire the finished work. Passing through the sun's rays, the curtain will cast multicolored highlights on kitchen utensils, and create a joyful mood.

If your house has accumulated many strips of chiffon or organza, you can make a unique curtain in the kitchen. It is enough to cut the stripes, the same length, slightly more than the height of the window and sew them into one sheet, processing the cuts with the help of an overlock or oblique bake. The upper edge should be sewn onto the curtain belt, and the bottom cut to be processed in any way you like. To decorate the curtains, you can use everything that is at hand. It can be multi-colored beads, beautiful buttons, flowers from organza.

Having at its disposal only one canvas of transparent fabric and pieces of multi-colored satin ribbon with beads, you can sew a simple, but beautiful curtain for the kitchen. To begin with, we process the edges of the cut of the fabric. You can just sew. For each tape string beads in any order, fixing on both sides knots. We lay out our prepared tapes on the fabric, leveling them on the untreated upper edge, and sewing. After this, we sew the curtain belt and suspend the finished curtain. Tapes with beads should hang freely down against the background of a monophonic canvas.
