Victor Goncharenko is a coach who has loudly announced himself in 30 years

Relations between the Russian Football Union and former coach of the national team Fabio Capello have not been called simple lately. Retribution for the early termination of the contract were found, and to save the team, risking to remain without Euro-2016, in a hurry, one of the best domestic specialists was called up - Leonid Slutsky. At the same time, by a strange coincidence, the former head coach of the Urals Viktor Goncharenko was left without work. CSKA Moscow, one of the most recognized domestic grandees, could not afford to let a young and promising Belarusian specialist go missing.

The club was to perform on two "fronts": in the Championship of Russia and in the Champions League, besides the coaching staff of the team is considered one of the smallest in the country. During the absence of Leonid Slutsky at the national team's games, the preparation of the club, according to the idea of the leadership, should be taken by Viktor Goncharenko. The coach immediately agreed to accept a new challenge, reasonably considering that proposals from top clubs come only once in a lifetime.

Player's career

Now the Belarusian specialist Viktor Goncharenko is only 38 years old, but he has already achieved a lot in the coaching field. For this case, the proverb "There would be no happiness, yes, misfortune helped". This is football. Victor Goncharenko in the prime of his playing career, at the age of 25, is seriously injured. After the cruciate ligament rupture, almost none of the players can reach their previous level. Goncharenko felt that he should not be tormented, vegetated in the take of third-rate clubs and decided to end his playing career.

First steps as a coach

The former football player immediately set the priorities for himself - entered the university and received the specialty of "football coach." Victor Goncharenko in this regard is advantageous from his colleagues, who often have higher education in other specialties. The training at BSUFC went to the beginning coach for good, and the first major successes in the domestic and international arenas did not take long. After two years working in the Belarusian BATE as a backup coach, in 2007 he headed the main team of BATE. No one known club from the small town of Borisov managed to make a lot of noise in the international arena, having, perhaps, the most modest budget of all European teams.

Undoubtedly, the creator of this success is Viktor Goncharenko. The coach was able to convey his vision of the game to ordinary Belarusian guys, not reinforced by expensive legionnaires. Exit to the main round of the most important European tournament, as well as positive results in games with the giants made the entire football world talk about the real phenomenon. Everyone was unanimous: if the coach, who does not have high-quality performers, achieves such high-profile results, then he is talented.

Interest from Russian clubs

Of course, for a long time in one courage and tactical settings you will not pass. BATE subsequently, despite the championship in the country, could not repeat the results achieved earlier in the international arena. However, the club gained fame, as did Victor Goncharenko. The trainer from Belarus became a tasty morsel for more wealthy Russian clubs. Despite the interest of the Krasnodar "Kuban", BATE was not in a hurry to part with the mentor who did a lot for the formation of the team. However, everyone understood: Goncharenko's transition to a stronger championship is just a matter of time. So it happened. However, the young specialist intended to leave the BATE, once again slamming the door.

Rejecting the proposal of the Moscow "Locomotive", in 2011, the second time for his career, he managed to bring the modest Belarusian club to the group stage of the Champions League. The football community gave modest predictions about the fate of the Belarusian champion, but BATE triumphantly denied them. In the second coming to the group stage of the main European team trophy, for the first time in its history, the club from Borisov was able to leave the group. The next season, the team fell again, and Goncharenko realized that he had exhausted his resources in his homeland.

Victor Goncharenko, coach of the "Kuban": the beginning of his career in Russia

The specialist realized that in the previous championship his club had practically no competitors. In the new league he will have to face tough competition, and titles will have to wait until soon. Despite the ambitions of the Krasnodar club, it is unlikely to compete on an equal footing with the recognized grandees - Zenit and CSKA. However, Goncharenko showed the result. What is worth only a nine-match series without defeats at the beginning of the 2014-2015 season.

Despite the fast start, the current 5th place in the championship and bright prospects in the fight for the troika, the ambitious management of the club decided to fire the Belarusian specialist right in the middle of the season. The wording of the termination of the contract was beyond the reasonable. The hosts of the "Kuban" felt that the head coach of the club is not strict with his wards.

Coaching career in the Urals

In the summer of 2015, Goncharenko led the Yekaterinburg Urals, but this time he could not stay in the team until the end of the season. This time he left the club for personal reasons, not agreeing with the leadership in his views on the further development of the team from Ekaterinburg. At the same time, rumors of Victor Goncharenko's disagreement leaked to the press so that his club would take part in the contract games.
