Konopleva (Togliatti) is one of the most famous nurseries of Russian football talents to date. At once six graduates of this center of sports preparation triumphantly completed the junior championship in 2006. The most famous of them is the former Spartak player I. Gorbatenko, who is quite successful now for the "Wings of the Soviets" native to him Samara.

The Konoplev Academy (Togliatti) originates from the Lada Olympic Reserve School, opened in 2003 in the town of Primorskiy, Samara Region. The main inspirer of this process was the local businessman Yu. P. Konoplev, who set himself an ambitious task - to turn an ordinary football school into one of the best educational institutions of the country, graduates of which could eventually compete on equal terms with the best similar institutions from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Rostov and Kazan.

Success exceeded all expectations. The Academy of Konoplev (Togliatti), which in the middle of 2000 became known as the "Wings of the Soviets", with the efforts of its founder for a number of years, advanced to the Volga region. Representing her teams began to regularly win prizes at regional and All-Russian competitions, and the highest level of infrastructure allowed the Academy in 2006 to win the title of the best in Russia.

True, it was this year that a misfortune happened. In the fortieth year of his life, Yu. Konoplev died, which led to a significant decrease in funding and a fairly significant drop in results. Football Academy Konopleva (Togliatti) (this name was given to her one year after the death of its founder) has gone through many very difficult stages, several times stood on the verge of complete closure, until in 2013 it was not taken on its balance by the administration of the Samara region. Problems and prospects for the development of the sports center

One of the main problems for the development of any Russian football academy is the availability of the opportunity to promote their students in the team of masters. The Konoplev Academy (Togliatti) is in this respect in a much less favorable position than the educational institutions of such grandees as Spartak and Dynamo. The flagship of the region - "Wings of the Soviets" - experienced a noticeable crisis in recent years, so the main springboard for the students of the Academy were Russian national teams of different ages. It was in this way that the same Dzagoev and Yusupov passed at the time, it was youthful teams that are considered by many guys as an excellent springboard for getting into the top Russian teams.

Football Academy named after Konoplev (Togliatti) is an excellent example of the fact that with a professional approach to the work you can achieve impressive results, not even in the Russian football region itself.
