Ventilated facade - what is it? Ventilated facade made of porcelain stoneware

In order to make the house warm and beautiful, it is necessary to mount a structure on the walls, such as a ventilated facade. What is it, today knows the majority of the owners of suburban areas. This is the name of a special "pie", assembled from modern building materials, each of which performs a certain protective function. Installation of such a system is made according to certain rules.

Purpose and design features

Ventilated facades of buildings are used to improve the heat-retaining qualities of the walls. The structure of this type of construction usually includes such materials as:

  • Hydro and vapor barrier films,
  • Heater,
  • Elements of a crate,
  • Clean outer skin.

The construction of a ventilated facade, as you can see, is quite simple. Most often, these systems are assembled directly on the site, after the construction of the walls. Sometimes for the insulation of houses used and ready-made facades, manufactured in an industrial way. In any case, these designs not only save the owners of houses on heating, but also protect against the destruction of the walls of the building, significantly increasing their service life.

From other types of façade ventilation systems are distinguished first of all by the presence of a layer on which air freely flows, removing moisture. At the moment, hinged facades of this type are considered to be the most effective and are used universally. Such systems can often be seen on residential buildings of different storeys, on public buildings, on the walls of shops, cafes, restaurants, entertainment complexes, etc.

Varieties

Thus, this design for a residential building is often absolutely necessary - a ventilated facade. What is it, we have found out. Next, let's see what kinds of such systems exist.

With the ventilated facade, a wide variety of building materials can be used. As a heat insulator, polystyrene or mineral wool is used most often. The lining is assembled from a beam of width comparable to the thickness of the insulation, or from a specially designed aluminum profile. As a finishing skin can be used lining, block house, siding, metal profile or porcelain stoneware. The last version of the cladding is considered the most prestigious.

Features of the construction of ceramic granite facades

Ventilated systems with such a fine finish have recently become very popular. Mainly thanks to its beautiful appearance. For those who want to make their house harmonious and attractive, it is necessary to use just such a ventilated facade for its finishing and warming. What kind of system is it, and how exactly it is mounted on the walls - let's talk further.

What are the advantages of ceramic granite facades

The advantages of such ventilated systems can be attributed in the first place:

  • All-season and versatility. Mount the system of ventilated facades of this type can be absolutely at any time of the year and on walls made of any material.
  • Long service life without the need for repair.
  • Stability to various unfavorable factors of the environment.
  • Ease of maintenance. Washed porcelain is very easy. To return the house to a beautiful appearance, you just need to pour water on the walls with a hose.
  • Very beautiful and prestigious appearance. The facades, finished in this way, look bright, original and rich.
  • Fire resistance. Usually, only incombustible materials are used in the assembly of such systems.

To the disadvantages of this type of finishing can be attributed primarily high cost and some complexity of installation. There is a ventilated façade made of porcelain stoneware, usually only by professional masters. Also, an indirect minus of such systems can be called the need for the manufacture of ceramic granite to order. To get ready material for this particular building is quite difficult. After all, the dimensions of the tiles must be a multiple of the size of the building itself. Cutting elements when performing finishing works is highly discouraged. Otherwise, the facade will look inharmonious.

Subsystem for ventilated facades

This is the name of a special design, through which the finish - in our case porcelain stoneware - is attached to the walls of the house. The subsystem of a ventilated facade includes such elements as a frame, a heater and waterproofing.

When used as a finishing finish of ceramic granite, the lath is made of special aluminum profiles of G-shaped and U-shaped. As a heater, both mineral wool and expanded polystyrene can be used. Waterproofing is made by special membrane films. Such a subsystem for ventilated facades has a high degree of reliability. Aluminum profile can easily withstand the weight of the tiles, and modern insulants significantly improve the performance of the walls.

The rules for assembling a ventilated facade from porcelain stoneware

One of the main reasons for the popularity of such designs is their attractive appearance. For the decoration of buildings usually choose a large tile (600x600, 800x800 and 800x1200 mm). Facades of the house - constructions on the area are usually very large, and therefore small ceramic-granite elements look at them not very aesthetically.

After the tile, harmoniously blending into the exterior design of the building, will be chosen, you can proceed with the actual assembly of such a system as a ventilated facade. What it is and what is the design of such systems, you now know. Next, consider the technology of mounting all elements of this facade.

The assembly of a ventilated system of this variety includes the following steps:

  • Marking the wall for brackets,
  • The actual installation of these elements,
  • Installation of hydro and thermal insulation,
  • Installation of guides,
  • Assembly of external ceramic-granite layer.

Mounting brackets

To fix these elements on the wall should be as flat as possible. From the correctness of their installation depends on how carefully in the future will look like a ventilated facade. The technology of mounting brackets includes mandatory preliminary marking. It is done like this:

  • Lighthouse lines are conducted: the bottom horizontal and two vertical lines (the extreme ones along the facade). You can make the markup correctly using the leveling tool.
  • On all three lines the points of fastening of brackets are put. In this case, an indelible construction pencil is used.

Holes for brackets are made by marking with a perforator. In each of them it is necessary to insert on a paronit cushion. Brackets are fastened to the anchor dowels with a screwdriver.

Hydro and thermal insulation

Continue the assembly of such structures as ventilated façade systems from granite, installation of materials that increase the protective characteristics of the walls of the building. The plates of the heater are hung on them through special slots. Holes can be made directly by the brackets themselves. Each of the plates is additionally fastened with plate dowels. The insulating elements of the facade are installed from the bottom up in a staggered order. At the next stage, the plates are closed with a waterproof membrane. Fastening it is made to the wall directly through the heater with dowels of the same kind. The film is mounted horizontally with an overlap of at least 10 cm.

Porcelain granite facade: technology of frame assembly

For the production of the lathing under the tile, a profile is commonly used, the color of which simulates the interlacing sutures. Sometimes used and beautiful polished to a mirror finish aluminum elements.

To install the selected U-shaped profiles proceed immediately after the waterproofing membrane is fixed on the insulation. They are attached to the brackets in a vertical position by means of screws. The marginal profiles are fixed at a distance to the end of the brick from the corner. All guides must be carefully leveled by the construction level and fixed in the plane.

The next step is to assemble the corner elements of the frame. They are made of a L-shaped aluminum profile. The assembly is carried out in such a way that the central vertical element in the future passes parallel to the corner of the building, and the horizontal ones are securely fixed to the U-shaped outer guides.

Facing

The installation of the ventilated system is completed with the installation of the ceramic granite tile itself. Strengthen the facing material to the lath for special kleymers. First, mount the lower row of them, using the building level. Fix the kleimers to the U-shaped profile with rivets. Next on the first row of these fasteners is installed tiles. The installer of ventilated facades supports it with his left hand, and the right one fixes the upper Kleimers so that the porcelain stoneware is securely fixed on the crate. The horizontal and vertical positioning of the elements is constantly checked through the level.

The procedure for assembling such a structure as a ventilated façade from porcelain stoneware, as you see, is technologically quite complex. Of course, people who have experience in performing various kinds of construction and installation work can easily cope with this task independently. For those who do not have special skills in this matter, installation of such a system should still be entrusted to specialists.
