Treatment of the knee joint

Treatment of the knee joint is performed depending on the type of injury received by the patient, or the existing disease.

With a sharp change in the direction of movement of the upper part of our body at a time when the leg is a support, for example, when falling in the process of a sports game, there may be a rupture of such an element as a cruciform ligament. The same injury may result from a direct blow to the lower leg or knee joint. Symptoms of damage are: characteristic crackle, sensation of pain, impaired motor activity and swelling in the area of the injury. The most common injuries are athletes. However, these damages can also occur in everyday conditions under normal incidence. Treatment of the knee joint in such cases is performed surgically. Restoration of the cruciate ligament is performed using an endoscopic method using a transplant of the patient's tissues.

With a deep sharp bending of the knees (squats), as well as turning the body, in which the foot is strictly fixed (braking on the slope of the skier), often there is a break in the meniscus. This causes severe pain, the motor functions of the joint are blocked, and swelling appears. Treatment of the knee joint with such injuries consists in removing the torn part of the meniscus or its restoration using special suture materials.

Twelve percent of all types of injuries are dislocations of the kneecap. Often, such damage occurs during the performance of dance movements, playing sports games, as well as unsuccessful falls in everyday life.

Often, the treatment of the knee joint with such injuries can be made independently. It is made by replacing the calyx.

Chronic diseases of knee joints include arthrosis of a deforming nature, as well as pathology of the synovial membrane. Depending on the stage of the disease, the expert can offer two methods of solving the problem: medical and surgical.

If your joint is not able to work properly, then it will be replaced by a metal one. Having chosen a medicamentous method, the specialist should prescribe a course of treatment based on the stage of the disease and the individual characteristics of the patient. After carrying out additional research, the question of how to treat knee joints in this situation is solved. The course of therapy may include the use of painkillers and anti-inflammatory drugs. The main ones are preparations related to the pyrazolone group (Rumalon, Feprazon) and Aspirin. However, it should be borne in mind that the use of these medicines has a negative effect on the digestive system.

Mandatory treatment should include desensitizing drugs "Suprastin", "Dimedrol" and "Pipolphen". At the initial stages of pathology It is recommended to administer medications by injection directly into the knee. Assigned chondroprotectors or hormonal drugs help restore the structure of the joint and protect it from destruction. If arthrosis is at the initial stage, it is likely that the course of treatment can be limited to physiotherapy and the application of compresses with resorbants.

If treatment of joint diseases is not carried out, pathological processes can cause the most serious consequences, including disability. Currently, Germany is one of the world's leading leaders in orthopedics. Medical services in this direction are provided by many leading clinics of the country. Treatment of joints in Germany is made from the diagnosis of the disease before the course of therapy for various diseases.
