"Toyota Corolla" - the 11th generation hatchback

"Toyota Corolla" (hatchback) is rightfully considered one of the oldest cars in its class. Its first generation saw the light in 1966. After 40 years of serial production, the company released a jubilee, 10th generation of legendary cars. But on this the Japanese have not slowed down their turnovers, and already from 2014 on the Russian market we will be able to see the 11th generation of the "Corolla". On the eve of the New Year, we will try to consider all the features of the new "japoshka" and find out how successful the model for the Russian market has turned out.

Design

Externally, the car was one step closer to European standards and became more attractive than the 10th generation of the Toyota Corolla (hatchback). The body dimensions of the novelty remained virtually untouched, however, its design has changed significantly. The European (it's Russian) version of the hatchback differs with the new design of lighting and a more stylish bumper. The large grille of the radiator emphasizes the youthfulness and sportiness of this car. Looking at the photo of the car, we can say that the tuning "Toyota Corolla" (hatchback) has, still coming off the assembly line.

By the way, the version delivered to the Russian market differs significantly from the one that goes to the American market. "Feed" of the novelty in the American version is less brutal and aggressive, due to what the machine is less distinguished in the crowd.

Inside

Interior design for the most part resembles the features of the Toyota Avalon, which gives the novelty greater elegance and presentability. Compared with the 10th generation anniversary, the Toyota Corolla (hatchback) of 2014 is noticeably different for the better.

This is clearly not a cheap "budget". There are no fresh forms and scanty finishes. However, the process of Europeanization touched the Toyota only externally. Inside, this is a typical American car with the characteristic architecture of the torpedo and the center console. As for the trunk, its volume increased by only 2 liters.

Technical part

"Toyota Corolla" (hatchback) can be equipped with three 4-cylinder gasoline engines. Among them, the base is a 1.3-liter "atmospheric" with a capacity of 99 horsepower. The average with a volume of 1.6 liters has at its disposal 122 "horses". The largest unit with a capacity of 1.8 liters develops a power of 140 horsepower. The whole engine line is completed with two transmissions. This can be either a six-speed manual transmission, or a continuously variable CVT for 7 virtual transmissions.

It should be noted that the first two units were not developed from scratch. Their engineers borrowed from the younger "Auris". However, before they were put into mass production, the Japanese significantly revised all the power plants, adding to them power and torque.

Price

"Toyota Corolla" (hatchback) in the basic configuration will be sold at a price of 659 thousand rubles. The most expensive version with a 1.8-liter engine and variable transmission will cost at least 879 thousand rubles. Given the presentability of the novelty and its price, we can say that the 11th "Toyota" deserves special attention of the public.
