Tomato 'Sprut'. Difference from other tomatoes and ways of growing

Tomato variety "Sprat" has for some time become a real find for those gardeners who are used to bold experiments. I must say that this hybrid has unusual dimensions and appearance, and it grows quite quickly. Usually people call tomatoes "Sprat" not tomatoes, but tomato tree. And the reason is obvious, because if this tomato is grown no less than a year and a half, then a really "tomato" tree can grow. Although those gardeners who grew this variety of tomatoes for only one season, were able to achieve success.

At its genetic level, the Tomato "Sprat" variety differs from other similar varieties with a perfectly developed root system and powerful leaves. The fruits of this variety can be harvested from July to September, which is already nonsense for harvesting tomatoes. And the fruits are really bogatyrskie, because the mass of one such tomato is 250 g. At the same time they can be stored for a long time - until the middle of the winter. The high fertility of this variety is also due to the fact that it is very resistant to various diseases, which often inflict on tomatoes. The optimal way to grow such tomatoes is the so-called hydroponic method, in which the root system of the tomato tree receives a sufficient amount of oxygen. As a result, the plant will not suffer from either drying out the soil or from its overmoistening, which equally adversely affects the development of tomatoes. However, this method requires additional nutrition, which consists in frequent and abundant fertilizing with solutions of mineral salts.

As a rule, tomatoes "Sprat" are planted by seedling method. In principle, growing seedlings is similar to growing seedlings of other varieties, but there is also a slight difference, which is an increased temperature regime of cultivation, which should be at least 25 degrees of heat.

Tomatoes "Sprat" do not require that in their growth process they break off lateral shoots and stepsons. However, all this should be compensated by regular fertilizing with mineral fertilizers. On average, top dressing should be done every 7 days.

Nevertheless, if there is a need or a desire to form a real tomato tree, then 6-8 months should not be allowed to have fruit on the plant. If this period is to try to withstand, then the tree will form a dense and beautiful crown, which will make it possible to receive large fruits.

I must say that the purchase of seeds of this variety alone is not a guarantee of obtaining a full-fledged tall tomato tree. This form may not work, but the benefits of growing such tomatoes in greenhouse conditions will be visible even with the naked eye. For tomatoes "Sprat" are considered the best and prolific variety for growing in a closed ground. In principle, this variety can be successfully cultivated on the open ground, but in this case one can not hope that a really large tomato tree will grow.
