Tomato sauce for cutlets: method of preparation

The gravy for cutlets can be different. It can be well prepared from cream, thick cream, ketchup, etc. Today we will consider a step-by-step recipe for a delicious and fragrant gravy, which includes tomato paste, spices and many other ingredients.

How to make gravy to cutlets: a detailed way of cooking

Necessary ingredients:

  • Drinking purified water - 550 ml;
  • Paste sharp tomato - 4 large spoons;
  • Garlic fresh small - 3 teeth;
  • Large onion bulb - 1 head;
  • Coriander fresh (you can take dill or parsley) - 1 small bunch;
  • Hops-suneli - 1/3 of a dessert spoon;
  • Sand sugar - 1 small spoon (can be slightly more);
  • Salt iodized fine - add to taste;
  • Carrots a little fresh - 2 pieces;
  • Sunflower oil - 3-5 large spoons.

Vegetable processing

The gravy for the cutlets will be much thicker and tastier if you add any vegetables to it. We decided to use carrots and bulbs. They should be cleaned, then rubbed on a large grater and chopped. It is also necessary to rinse the greens and chop it with a knife.

Heat treatment sauce

In the aggregate, gravy for cutlets is prepared for about 20-24 minutes. To do this, you need to take a deep sauté pan, pour in the sunflower oil, warm it up a bit, and then lay out the chopped onion bulbs and grated carrots. Together, vegetables should be fried over low heat for about 10 minutes. During this time they will not only become soft, but will be covered with a golden crust.

After the vegetables are completely ready, they need to pour the usual purified water and 4 large spoons of hot tomato paste. All ingredients should be well mixed and brought to a boil. After 4-5 minutes, iodized salt and granulated sugar must be poured into the resulting mass. These ingredients should preferably be added to taste, so that the sauce for the cutlets is not too acidic.

When all the spices are mixed with the sauce and dissolve under the influence of heat treatment, it is recommended to lay out all the other ingredients in the dish. To do this, put a little fresh greens (cilantro, dill or parsley) into the sauté pan, hops-suneli and grated chives. The latter ingredients will add a special flavor and rich flavor to the sauce.

In the end, the sauce should be brought back to a boil, then removed from the gas stove and poured into the dishes, where the previously cooked cutlets are.

How to serve to the table correctly

This sauce is suitable for almost all products made from minced meat. Especially delicious are liver patties with gravy made from tomato paste, vegetables and spices. However, it should be noted that this dish should be presented to the table only together with some garnish. For example, you can make spaghetti, pasta, mashed potatoes or boil some cereals.
