The simplest dress with your own hands: patterns

Every girl dreams of beautiful, eye-catching outfits. However, to afford to buy that thing that you want, it does not always work out - then there is no size, then the tailoring does not fit. But do not be upset - you can try to create a unique, unique and completely individual outfit. For example, first try to sew a simple dress, and only then, having learned to make patterns, you can do more complex outfits.

What is it - the simplest dress?

A simple dress is a model without ruches, flounces, fringing, wedges and other elements that significantly decorate the product, but also complicate the process of its creation. Perhaps the most difficult is the initial stage, when you need to correctly take the measurements, and then very carefully and incredibly accurately transfer them to paper. Of course, you can go another way - to create a dress without a pattern. This will be the primary training stage, after which you can start sewing more complex outfits.

So, first, as an example for comparison, let's look at how you can create a dress with the simplest pattern, and then go on to the process of forming a model, performed on more complex patterns. Before you start marking and cutting the fabric, you need to prepare the tools you need to work. Do this in advance, so that you do not get distracted later, looking for a suitable thread or scissors.

What is required?

Of course, before you create a simple light dress with your own hands, you need to decide on the cloth - you should immediately give up too tight or too thin (chiffon, silk). In the first case, the fabric will crumple on unsuccessfully adjusted places, in the second, all defects, even the most insignificant ones, will be perfectly visible, because with the first tailoring there may be quite a lot of them.

Do not forget about the selection of the picture - it will be easier to work with material without decor or with a shallow abstraction, a flower - where you do not have to adjust and combine the pattern. If the material comes with a large pattern, it's worth making a good stock for the fit.

Next, we prepare the tools - we need a meter, which will be removed, and large scissors, allowing you to make a cut with the smallest irregularities. And, of course, they should be sharp. It is better to stock up several types of needles (in the course of the work you will see which is more comfortable in the hand and makes smaller punctures on the fabric), as well as strong threads. Do not forget to find a crayon or a pencil, which will later be labeled on the fabric.

Model with a simple pattern

Of course, even the simplest dress can not be done without any patterns. Now we will consider an example of the simplest pattern of dress, held by an elastic band on the shoulders.

We need to draw two rectangles 80 x 65 cm (the basis for the dress), two rectangles of 33 X 55 cm (these will be the sleeves), and two - 25 X 7 cm (armholes). Dimensions are taken standard, you can change them at your discretion (the first is the length, then the width is used).

Drafted on paper, we cut out, and then carefully draw them with chalk, leaning against the fabric. Do not forget to designate armholes. Now we sweep the basics - first on our hands, neatly chopping off their pins, and then sweeping them with bright threads.

Only after this we sew the basics on the typewriter, and if there is an overlock, we overlap the edges. We sew the sleeves, turn the neck of the centimeter by two and stitch it - insert the elastic into the received trough. Do not forget to treat the edges of the hem and sleeves, and then iron these places with an iron.

The last stage - a simple light dress with your own hands needs decoration. Variants of jewelry can be very different - this is an original thin chain on the belt, a simple and discreet brooch, any element that is able not only to make the dress more elegant, but also to highlight its superiority.

What are the measurements?

Even simple dresses for beginners require a precise and accurate approach: if at least one of the measurements is removed incorrectly - the model will be spoiled.

There are many kinds of measurements: EGG - semi-swelling of the chest, POT - waist hem, POB - hips, NSP - hem of the neck, LH - chest line, DTS - waist length of the back, CI - length of the product, VR - height of the sprout, NPC - slope Shoulder back, DB - length of the sides, SH - chest height, accidents - length of the waist of the hand, WR - width of the transmission, and many others.

Each of these measures should be removed when connecting certain points on the figure of a person, it is especially important to remember about the stomach - you need to make the necessary stock on it. In addition to the basic measures, there are many additional measures, but in our example we will not consider them.

How to take measurements?

We are considering simple dresses (with our own hands) - the patterns will therefore not be too complicated. We need to remove only a few measures - waist circumference, the length of the skirt. For simplicity, we introduce a few letter symbols, after which the necessary calculation formulas will be subsequently compiled.

P and A are the radii of the circle, B is the detail for the straps, D1 and D2 are the belt details, 3 is the length of the waistline of the skirt, and RT is the waist circumference. The calculation will be made taking into account the necessary allowances. We will use simple formulas: S = 1/2 (RT - 8), A = (RT - 8) + S + S, P = A: 3.14, B = 2 * (OT: 4 + 6), D1 = OT - 8, D2 = 14 + 2. Using these simple calculations, it is possible to compile an extremely accurate calculation of the necessary parameters.

What's next?

So, we sew a simple dress with our own hands. This time the patterns will be made immediately on the fabric, without the use of paper. If the plans to sew a long dress, it will take about five meters of material.

It is better to always buy with a margin, and do not forget that for a model worn with heels, the expense of matter will still be slightly larger. If in the plans - the simplest dress length, not reaching the knees, it will take about three and a half meters of fabric.

Of the remaining pieces of material, you can always come up with decorated elements for the model - it can be homemade bows decorated with beads, or elegant flowers that can also be attached to a pin, if necessary, simply removing and removing them further away. In any case, be guided by the principles of "let it stay" than "oh, not enough."

We begin to cut

A simple dress (with your own hands for beginners) requires special attention - lack of experience in cutting and sewing can affect the quality of the model. Fold the fabric in half, and after drawing from the corner the radius P - just as we do with the compass.

Likewise, we draw the radius L. We cut out the skirt along the lines, while remembering to leave stocks for the seams (at least one centimeter). Cut out the straps - two rectangles with a width of B, and a length of about two hundred and twenty centimeters. Belt is cut according to details D1 (belt length) and D2 (belt width). So, all the necessary patterns are ready. Now we can start sewing. We stock up with English pins, threads and needles, and do not forget that we left stocks for stitches by one centimeter.

Line by line

We begin with straps - we add each detail in half, fix it with pins and carefully sew along the entire length. The next step - on the one hand, we sew straps along the width. Similarly, we process the belt. Since we are sewing a simple dress, we will not have any difficult seams.

Now it's up to the skirt - first carefully work the hem, and then - the side cuts. We calculate the necessary length from the waistline of the skirt and measure it from it another four centimeters down. From the received point we measure half of OT and we put one more point. From the processed cutoff we measure four centimeters, we fold, we impose a smell, having combined labels of a smell and a lateral seam. Stitching neatly, slowly.

Find the middle of the front and back of the skirt, apply overlapping overlapping about four centimeters, sew the resulting layers. Then we sew the basting lines.

Last step

So our simple dress is ready. However, this is not the end. As in the preparation of the final stage - the sample of the dish, and in the tailoring of the final moment - fitting the product. Gently put the dress on yourself, carefully looking through all possible shortcomings. Do not forget to gently iron out all the seams, in no case doing oblique folds.

Simple light dresses are good in that you can put them anywhere - as a solemn event, decorating the detail in the form of a bow, scarf, brooch, and every day - for work, for a walk or even a date. Do not forget that after the first wash the color of the fabric may change slightly, slightly lightening, and the length of the skirt will be shortened if the matter sits down. This is especially true if the dress is worn with heels. The advantageous side of this model is that the simpler the tailoring of the outfit, the more vivid accessories you can choose for it, be it a handbag, a bracelet, a pendant or earrings.

These dresses never go out of fashion - they are very comfortable, versatile and practical. Another undeniable plus - it is with such a dress with the help of additional decorations you can create your own, individual, unique image, favorably selecting yourself from the mass of other women.

So, boldly grasp the needles and threads, choose the most favorite colors and materials - and forward, to create the most unusual, fashionable, stylish, unique, charming, airy, elegant, bright, beautiful, attractive gaze of the opposite sex dress! Good luck!
