The nature of China and its features

In the eastern part of Eurasia, China is located, being the third country in the world in terms of the size of the occupied area after Russia and Canada. 9.6 million km² - the area of China. China has borders with Russia, Mongolia, North Korea, Myanmar, India, Bhutan, Afghanistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan. The People's Republic of China is located on the territory that is washed by the Pacific Ocean, namely its seas: South China, East China and Yellow, and the Korean Gulf. Between the mainland and the island of Taiwan is the Taiwan Strait. Features of China's nature are due primarily to the presence of different types of climate - from the subtropical to the sharply continental.

Relief

China is characterized by the presence of simultaneously the highest mountain ranges - the Himalayas (the highest peak in the world - Everest, 8848 m), accumulative plains, depressions, plateaus, valley and car glaciers, high-mountain deserts. More than 85% of the country's territory is covered by the area with heights of more than 500 m, and about 19% of its territory is located at an altitude of over 5000 m. In China, a variety of surface deposits can be observed. With the passage of time, China's nature carefully created them. As a result of the concentration of such deposits, one of the largest loess plateaus in the world appeared in the northern part of the country. Its origin it takes at the bend of the Yellow River and has an area of 580 thousand square meters. Km.

Loess, or "huantu", - "yellow earth" in translation from Chinese. The literal translation of the name of this loess landscape was not accidental. The color of these deposits, characteristic of northern China, predetermined the entire color range of the Yellow River.

Features of climate

The size of the country, the climatic conditions, the nature of China, its features, make it possible to clearly distinguish the country among most other Asian countries. Speaking about the peculiarities of the country's climate, it is necessary to emphasize its diversity. In the south-east it is subtropical, and in the north-west - sharply continental. As a result of the interaction of air masses of the ocean and land, the southern coast is subject to the influence of monsoons. Depending on the origin, intensity and weakening of monsoons, the amount and concentration of precipitation is distributed. Diametrically opposite temperature indicators and features of the nature of China are inextricably linked. In winter, in the northernmost part of the country - Heilongjiang Province, in a temperate climate - the temperature drops to -30 ° C, and the average temperature is 0 ° C. In summer, the average temperature here is about 20 ° C. And in the southern regions of Guangdong province it is much warmer - from +28 ° C in July to + 10 ° C in January.

Water wealth of the country

Snowmelt snow in the highlands of the Tibetan plateau is an indispensable water donor of the main rivers of the country: Saluin, Mekong, Yangtze, Yellow River. The largest rivers of China originate high in the mountains. The Great Chinese Canal, built in the 7th-13th centuries, located along the coast, connects the mouths of the largest rivers: the Yellow River and the Yangtze River.

Do not cease to admire how rich and diverse the nature of China is. The splendor of natural water bodies is amazing: Tianchi (Heavenly Lake), located east of Urumqi, on the slopes of Bogdo-ula, Mansorovar - one of the world's highest freshwater lakes, the pearl of Hunting - Lake Sichu. Huge rivers of the country are also fascinating. At the same time they are whimsical and can bring a lot of grief to those who live along their shores.

China and its wild nature

People and nature in China have an inextricable connection. A vivid example of such continuity can be observed in the Heilongjiang park-reserve, the largest in terms of the number of Amur tigers. There are more than 1 thousand of them. In order to create adaptable conditions for the life of tigers, animals are closely watched, and measures are taken to maintain their health. Conditions have been created for feeding animals, close to natural ones - namely meat and mainly live poultry. Favorable migration conditions for animals have been created. Observations on the tiger population have been conducted for more than 20 years.

The plant and animal life of China

The nature of China has generously endowed with a variety of species and subspecies animal and plant world. Some species and families of flora and fauna are distinguished by the ancient appearance. From the diversity of the plant world in China, one can distinguish cedar and larch in the taiga, magnolia and camellia in the subtropics, as well as about 25,000 relict species in eastern China. Of the inhabitants of the animal kingdom in the north-west of China, you can meet gazelle and horse Przewalski, in Tibet - Himalayan bear, antelope orongo, kiang. In the south-west of the country you can see flying dogs, large and small pandas, lori and leopards. China is rich in little-known and sometimes hard-to-reach treasures of nature. The wild nature of China is represented by the splendor of Everest, the noisy cascades of the multi-level waterfalls of the Jiuzhaigou Valley, rock formations in Gansu Province, created predominantly from red sandstones and called the "Landscape of Danksia". And this list will be infinitely long.

Amazing natural monuments

The Chinese poet Li Bo called the Huangshan mountains "yellow mountains." These are amazing natural monuments of China. Diva is given, looking at the yellowish, sometimes golden color, the top. These mountains are quite high, to some of their peaks - about 2 thousand meters. The Huangshan peak, literally in the clouds, creates bizarre visual effects. Thus, the names "Buddha's Light", "Cloud Cloud" and others were given.

To fully understand the entire wealth of nature and sometimes even some unreality of their landscapes, of course, one only needs to see it. This mountain range is visited not only by numerous tourists, but also by film crews. The famous director James Cameron, filming the movie "Avatar", saw in these places the planet Pandora. Filming of full-scale episodes of the film took place in the Chinese province of Anhui - there is the Huangshan mountain range. And it is the "Yellow Mountains" that must be included in the list of the most important places on the planet Earth.
