The English Queen Elizabeth 2

The current English Queen Elizabeth 2 is a representative of the Windsor Dynasty. Elizabeth received the throne in 1952. The future English Queen was born on April 21, 1926 in London and grew up in an atmosphere of care and love. She received education first at home, and then listened to lectures on history at Eton College. In her childhood, Elizabeth was very inquisitive. She showed great interest in horses. This hobby Elizabeth remains true to this day.

At the age of thirteen, the future Queen Elizabeth of England met Prince Philip, who at that time was studying at the Dortmund Naval School. The future husband of Elizabeth was of noble birth. Another English Queen Victoria, he was a great-grandson, and his father was Prince Andrew Greek. In 1947, Philip became the husband of Elizabeth and was given the title of Duke of Edinburgh. It is believed that this marriage was made for love. They had four children: princes Charles, Andrew and Edward, and also Princess Anna. At the insistence of the mother, the children were trained not at the court, but in ordinary educational institutions.

The current British Queen is the nominal ruler of the British Commonwealth and performs only representative functions. It practically has no real impact on British policy. At first, the English queen still played a role in the selection of the prime minister's candidacy. And provided that the ruling party did not have a clear leader. The current British Queen has always maintained equal relations with the country's prime ministers. Exceptions were not even the Labor Partyists Tony Blair and Harold Wilson.

Some of Elizabeth's tensions were with Margaret Thatcher during her premiership. Firstly, the Queen of England did not like the "monarchical style" of the administration of this prime minister. Secondly, Elizabeth was against the British government's support for apartheid in South Africa. The Queen of England believed that this could adversely affect the country's influence in the African states that are members of the Commonwealth. At the same time she tried to stay out of political battles, which is a tradition of the newest British monarchs.

The main source of concern for the Queen of England are numerous scandals related to the personal life and divorce processes of her children, as well as the close attention of the press to them. On the part of ordinary Britons, Elizabeth's restrained response to the death of Princess Diana in 1997 was disapproved.

Great interest for tourists is the protection of the Queen of England, or rather her clothes. Guard guardsmen wear traditional red uniforms and high caps from the skins of grizzly bears. Officers have a higher height and a more intense shine, because they are made from the skins of males. And for privates and non-commissioned officers, headgear is made of females, which does not look so effective. The caps have a service life of about a hundred years and are transferred by the guardsmen "by inheritance". Therefore, the herd of grizzly bears does not suffer too much.
