The drug "Rumalon" belongs to the group of chondroprotective medicines. Also, this medication can be attributed to stimulants of regeneration.

The drug "Rumalon", the instruction for its use gives a detailed description of it, is made in the form of a solution intended for injection. The drug is a liquid having a yellowish brown color. The solution has the smell of meta-cresol. In the pharmacy network the drug is sold in ampoules made of light-protective glass. Their volume can be one or two milliliters. Ampoules with a drug are packaged in contoured cell packs. The pack is additionally equipped with a first opening control, which is two protective stickers.

The drug "Rumalon" (instruction for use indicates its composition) contains glucosaminoglycan-peptide complex as the main active substance. This component is purified with the help of special technological processes and concentrated extract, obtained from cartilage tissue and brain (bone) young animals or calves.

The cause of this disease is the thinning of the plate and the change in the surface of the cartilage of the joint.

The drug "Rumalon", the instruction for its application describes the most common pathologies in which it is indicated, is prescribed in the presence of diseases of the musculoskeletal system, which are associated with destructive (degenerative) processes in cartilage tissue. Such ailments include the following:

- Spondylosis;

- arthrosis;

- chondromalation of patella (necrosis of cartilaginous tissue);

- coxarthrosis;

- Meniscopathy (pathology of the knee joint lining, which is a cartilaginous tissue);

- spondylarthrosis.
