The consumption of "Rotband" per 1 m2 and its characteristics

Putty "Rotband" is a product of the trademark Knauf. The company is known in the world as the largest manufacturer of building mixtures for exterior and interior decoration, technological equipment for machine-made plastering, and insulation materials.

Ways of using plaster

Rotband plaster is a universal dry mix that will save time, smooth walls and ceilings. With its help, you can achieve a finished surface for gloss without the use of finishing putty. The consumption of "Rotband" per 1 m2 is 8.5 kg (layer of 10 mm). It is also suitable for the manufacture of decorative elements, structuring, repair and restoration works.

Plaster "Rotband" is used indoors, as it is made on the basis of gypsum with the addition of perlite. This increases the strength of the mixture. It is used for manual high-quality plastering of walls at temperatures from +5 ° С to +30 ° С. It is applied on such bases as brick, concrete, aerated concrete, cement plaster, expanded polystyrene surfaces and DSP.

Calculation of flow

Gypsum plaster "Rotband" is profitable and economical due to its consumption. This allows you to reduce costs for the purchase of building materials. As already mentioned, the consumption of putty "Rothband" for 1m2 - 8.5 kg (layer of 10 mm). This is 2 times less than when using cement-sand mixtures (DSP). It is more economical starting plasters, in which the consumption is not less than 10 kg per 1 m2 (with a layer of 10 mm). The water consumption is 18 liters per one package (30 kg) of dry mix.

For example, there is a wall, which must be plastered with a layer of 20 mm. To do this, calculate the consumption of "Rothband" per 1 m2. Since the consumption is 8.5 kg (at a thickness of 10 mm), in our case it will take 8.5 x 2 = 17 kg. For comparison: if you take into account the consumption of DSP, in this case it will need 32 kg. And if you use starting gypsum plaster, you need 20-24 kg of dry material.

Advantages of the mix "Rothband"

The advantage is its versatility, strength and low consumption, as well as increased adhesion, a smooth surface without the use of finishing putty. It is possible to apply a thick layer (up to 5 cm) at a time. Increased strength is achieved through special additives, such as perlite, and additional polymers. They promote adhesion.

The product does not contain substances that are harmful to human health - lime and alkali, in contrast to the DSP. Adjusts the humidity in the room. Economical consumption of "Rotband" per 1 m2 favorably allocates it from the mass of other products.

"Rotband" is characterized by a high index of frost resistance (at least 75 cycles). The plaster also has a moisture resistance. This allows you to successfully apply the mixture in bathrooms, bathrooms, corridors, walls and ceilings. It is characterized by the ability to absorb excess moisture due to the porous structure.

The thermal conductivity of the mixture is 0.25 W / m . K. This is a fairly low figure, which contributes to maintaining the optimal temperature in the room.

Specifications

The solution consists of an astringent fine-grained filler (d ~ 2.5 mm) and special chemical additives. The thickness of the layer can be from 5 to 50 mm for walls, from 5 to 15 mm for ceilings. The consumption of "Rotband" per 1 m2 at a layer height of 10 mm is equal to 8.5 kg. Drying takes about 60 minutes. The mixture of full strength is equal to 7 days. The time of use of the finished solution is from 25 to 30 minutes.

The density of the dry mixture is 730 kg / m 3 , dried plaster - 950 kg / m 3 . Compressive strength> 2.5 MPa, for bending> 1.2 MPa. The thermal conductivity of the mixture reaches 0.25 W / m . K. Water flow per bag (30 kg) - 18 liters. The storage time in undamaged packaging is 6 months.

From the facts considered, we can conclude that "Rothband" is an economical option for interior decoration.

Step-by-step instructions for use

First you need to clean the wall of dust, dirt and exfoliation. The substrate must be strong and have a temperature of at least +5 ° C. After cleaning, the substrate should be primed, regardless of the type. It is applied by a roller or a mackerel.

Then you need to install the beacon profiles on the surface. To do this, the base "Rotband" is applied in small portions approximately every 30 cm. The profiles are pressed into the mixture, which are aligned in the same plane. Further, protective corner profiles are installed. On their inside, plaster is applied in 30 cm increments. The profile is set at an angle in the same plane with the beacons. In the flow of 25-30 minutes, it is necessary to apply the solution to the wall or ceiling, to straighten the rule with zigzag motions. After setting the plaster, after 45-60 minutes, the layer is smoothed with a wet spatula to obtain a smooth surface. Unevenness on the slopes and in the corners is required to cut off the plaster plane. After 15 minutes, the surface can be cleaned again with a wet spongy grater to remove any unevenness.

When structuring the surface, the amount of material that requires plaster (consumption per 1 m2) remains unchanged. "Rothband" - gypsum decorative mixture - up to its full hardening can be processed by a relief roller or other forming tool. Time of full drying - 7 days.

Having familiarized with the technology of plaster application, having determined the consumption of "Rotband" for 1 m2, as well as the main characteristics, you can prepare a quality mixture yourself.
