The best mystical movies: yesterday, today, tomorrow

Intriguing, bewitching, frightening, best mystical movies - a real "delicacy" for kinogurman. Supernatural beings inhabiting the world of these films, have long been the favorite heroes of many venerable filmmakers.

Gift for filmmakers

There are many adaptations of Stoker's "Dracula", beginning with black and white, filmed at the dawn of cinema. However, one of the most brilliant is the Coppola painting with Harry Oldman in the central role. Here Dracula is not just a monster, blood-sucking, he is a suffering, sensitive character, still mourning his beloved. Having found her new incarnation in Wilhelmine (Winona Ryder), he finds a new hope that will not come true. These are the best mystical films that the audience can see - with deep subtext and a dark atmosphere. But the tape of Tim Burton's "Dark Shadows" with a very strong cast, led by Johnny Depp and Michelle Pfeiffer, unfortunately, is somewhat out of the range of talented works of this director. The history of the vampire, pursued by a witch eager for his love, performed by Eva Green, is not very clinging. Although the special effects and the Gothic atmosphere are excellent.

On the Birth of Antichrist

There is a whole pleiad of films about the birth of the Antichrist - many of them rightly belong to the category of "best mystical horror films." "Child Rosemary", the first American film by Roman Polanski, is a classic of this trend. Mia Farrow is gorgeous as a future young mother. Her fears and prejudices intertwine with really terrible intentions with the appearance of nice neighbors. They chose Rosemary as the mother of Satan's son, but the woman desperately resists such a disgusting mission. An old Minnie Castivet, so touchy, but from this more frightening neighbor, played Ruth Gordon. For this role she received an Oscar. The best mystical films are the Omen trilogy. The prequel franchise staged by Richard Donner (later known as the comedic fighter "Lethal Weapon") was the most outstanding of this series. Maybe thanks to a script written by David Zeltser, or maybe because the main role was played by the famous Gregory Peck. His hero, a prominent US diplomat, by ignorance adopted the child of the devil. He and his family became exchangeable coins in a large game of dark forces. Jerry Goldsmith managed to create truly magical music. The soundtrack has received the highest award of the Academy of Film of the USA. The theme of Antichrist somehow appears in "The End of the World" with Schwarzenegger, "The Lords of Salem" by Rob Zombie, in "Constantine" and other paintings. Maybe this is not the best mystical movies. However, they deserve the attention of the audience.

On the works of King

Moved to the screen works by Stephen King - this is the best mystical films. A mysterious hotel, living its own bloody life, maddening the main character of "Shining" (one of the most successful works of Jack Nicholson). "Cemetery of pets", capable of returning pet pets (and not only). However, will you be happy to see this revived being in your dwelling? The car "Christina" in love with its owner. Possessing the most powerful telekinesis, the meek, meek Carrie. When she releases her demons to freedom, all those mocking her will be punished. This novel was filmed three times. The first attempt by Brian de Palma was for King's debut as a screenwriter, and very successful. Remake of 2002 was filmed for television. The third picture was called "Telekinesis" and was published in the fall of 2013. Director Kimberly Pierce (on her account a tough drama "Guys do not cry") could not repeat the success of Palma, although modern special effects are more impressive.

Each year on the screens are thrillers and horror films, which are worthy to be on the list of "best mystical films." 2013 presented fans of the genre of the remake of "The Evil Dead", "Astral-2" and "The Curse" of James Wang, a funny Spanish thing "Witches of Sugar-Murdi". We are waiting for the Prime Minister of 2014!
