Evgeni Karelov is a talented person, recognized as one of the most outstanding directors of the times of the USSR. "Two Captains", "The Third Half", "Two Companions Served" - it is difficult to list all the wonderful paintings he made. The life of the master was interrupted due to a tragic accident, but his name will always remain in the history of cinema. What about it is known?

Evgeny Karelov: childhood

The famous director was born in a small village located in the Moscow region, it happened in October 1931. The family in which Eugene Karelov was born was simple, belonged to the category of needy. The mother of the boy worked as a teacher, teaching children literature, my father worked at the same school stoker. They hardly suspected that his son was destined to become a star of Soviet cinema.

In the magical world of cinema, Yevgeny Karelov fell in love, even as a six-year-old child. It was then that he first appeared in the cinema, persuading his parents to take him with them. Since then, he has perceived the process of making films as a kind of mystery, having perpetuated this relationship throughout his life. Of course, in his childhood, he had other hobbies, but the desire to become a director did not disappear until the end of school.

First successes

After receiving the certificate, Evgeni Karelov went to conquer the university of his dreams - the famous VGIK. The gifted young man managed to impress the admission committee, he was taken. Already a student, he created his debut picture, entitled "Smoke in the Forest". Short film, dedicated to the events of World War II, was his diploma project.

"Yasha Toporkov" is the second film created by the then unknown director. The picture of the life of an ordinary guy Yasha saw the light in 1960, but did not bring its creator special popularity. The same fate befell the short film "Let it shine," presented to the audience at about this time.

"Nahalenok"

Yevgeny Karelov is a director who became famous after the comedy Nahalenok, which appeared in 1961. The plot of the tape is borrowed from the famous work of Mikhail Sholokhov, which is called "Don Cossacks." It is interesting that the author of the story even shed a tear when he saw the film, he liked the work of the beginning director.

The action takes place in the post-war years. Having given the debt to the Motherland, Foma Korshunov returns to his native village, where he once worked as a shepherd. Noble and honest Thomas wants to see his fellow-villagers as chairman, however, it does not like well-off inhabitants of the village. The hero of the war has a little son, Mishka, who dreams to grow up as courageous and strong as his father. "Nahalenok" is the nickname given to Mishutka by neighbors.

Of course, not all of the remarkable paintings that Yevgeny Karelov shot are listed above. Films, thanks to which his name will forever remain in the history of cinema: "The Third Half", "Two Companions Served", "Seven Old Men and One Girl". The plot of the drama "The Third Half" is borrowed by the master from real life. The main characters of the film are talented football players who turned out to be among the prisoners of the Nazi concentration camp. Playing with German soldiers, they won, not being afraid of punishment.

Karelova managed to achieve not only drama, but comedy stories. A vivid example of this is the picture "Two Companions Served," dedicated to the events of the Civil War. The central characters of the comedy were played by such talented actors as Jankowski and Bykov. The audience was delighted with the tape "Seven Old Men and a Girl", every frame of which makes you smile.

The last project

The last film, which could create Karelov Evgeniy Efimovich, is now considered one of the most outstanding of his creations. It's about the tape "Two Captains", consisting of six series. The plot of the picture is borrowed from the famous novel Kaverina. The mini-series was presented to the audience in 1976, it happened shortly before the death of its creator.

In July 1977, the gifted film director passed away without realizing many of his ideas. The cause of the early death of a genius was a tragic accident. Spending a vacation on the Black Sea, Yevgeny Yefimovich, who recently celebrated his 45th birthday, went swimming and drowned. He was dragged out of the water too late. The grave of the star of Soviet cinema is in the city of Podolsk.
