Symptoms of overheating in the sun - everyone should know!

In the summer, I do not want to think about the bad - it seems that the sun, the air, the green foliage and the sea carry one joy and a positive. More and more time I want to spend not in four walls, but walking in the fresh air, in parks, on the banks of water bodies - in general, anywhere, but not at home. And then one of the enemies of any person comes to the scene in the summer - a sunstroke and his companion - overheating in the sun. They can occur in a person with a long stay under the sun's rays without the ability to cool the body. Another leader in overheating - closed vehicles. They often careless owners leave pets, and often children, going shopping, a beauty salon or just on business.

What are the symptoms of overheating in the sun? First of all, it is weakness, darkening in the eyes and light dizziness. In this state, an adult can himself become aware of the fact of overheating and take precautions. If we are dealing with children, then revealing the child's overheating in the sun is much more difficult. You can, of course, regularly inquire about the baby's well-being. Although most mothers pay attention to the symptoms of overheating in the sun, when they are already taking a heavier form - the skin of the child begins to blush, the temperature rises, it becomes quite sluggish. In some cases, unnoticed overheating can provoke nausea, vomiting, loss of consciousness and the onset of fever, chills, and seizures. In this case, a person, and especially a small person, needs medical help.

If there are already less severe symptoms of overheating in the sun, you should first provide the patient with peace in a cool, sheltered from the sun. It is necessary to give the victim a horizontal position and, if possible, cool his body. For this, you can use towels soaked in cold water, wrapping them with the victim's body. When overheating in the sun, medicines such as "Nurofen" or "Panadol" will be effective, which will help to remove fever and lower body temperature. But what you should not do in any case, is to put the patient in cold water entirely or to pour it. A large temperature difference will not do.

Well, best of all, of course, after carrying out activities to provide primary care to call a doctor. He can diagnose the patient's condition and prevent dehydration of the body, which occurs when overheating.

And what to do to avoid overheating in the sun? Wear light clothing in hot weather, allowing air to freely contact the body. Keep in the direct access to yourself, the child and pets cool drinking water. At all do not remain in the closed car without access of air and watch, that there there were no animals and children. Try not to be in the open sun for more than 10-15 minutes in the afternoon without a headdress or the opportunity to go into the shade.

If you see the symptoms of overheating in the sun, do not be silent, sound an alarm and take measures to eliminate this condition, no matter whether you know the person or not. Perhaps you will save someone's life, because the risk of death with severe overheating in the sun is, no less, 20-30%!
