Their main task is to create safe conditions for traffic in order to avoid emergency situations, dangerous moments on the road and pedestrian injuries.

All street lights should have a high level of protection (most often ip65). They are not supposed to react to mechanical damage, moisture, temperature changes and air pressure, dirt and road dust. It distinguishes them from other light sources for a longer period of operation and high profitability.
