Structural materials - new solutions to old opportunities

Structural materials today surround us everywhere. Everything from which parts for machines and mechanisms are made, many polymer, abrasive, some types of paint and varnish products - all this applies to structural materials. One of the striking examples are cellular gratings, which were originally used in the chemical and heavy industry to move at altitude in order to ensure the safety of maintenance personnel. Today the range of their use has greatly expanded. So, they began to be used in shipbuilding, civil and industrial construction, in the construction of roads, bridges, tunnels, overpasses, in the oil refining industry, agriculture and mines.

Lattice flooring - long-term safety

Structural materials, including mesh grids, are distinguished by high physical and mechanical properties of the metal, which allow it to be used in cases where the use of other materials to ensure long-term safety and reliability is impossible.

Latticed flooring, which has unique properties, is an excellent material for use both indoors and outdoors. It perfectly resists not only strong physical loads, but also external aggressive environment (in adverse weather conditions like rain, snow, hail or frost), despite the fact that the very design of the grating floor is only 20% of metal, and the rest Free space occupies air. Nevertheless, it can withstand a uniformly distributed load on the surface of up to 700 tons, which allows it to be used as access roads for heavy-duty vehicles.

Construction materials. Features of cellular decking

The design of cellular flooring is a covering and bearing elements having a different shape. The latter are parallel to each other, while the coverslips serve as connecting, thereby forming a monolithic structure with air space, characterized by high strength characteristics.

The manufacture of latticed decking is carried out in two ways - by welding and pressing. The second method covers the covering elements in carriers at a pressure of 500 tons, thereby ensuring high strength, practicality and durability of the product. This method of manufacturing allows the use of cellular flooring not only to solve the necessary practical problems, but also as a decorative element in the design of buildings and structures.

Universal mechanical properties of materials, due to which they have gained wide popularity and popularity, have also lattice decks, made by welding. For this, low-carbon steel is used, which is subsequently further processed by special compositions to impart anti-corrosion properties, which further increases the life of the product.

Structural materials that are used in the manufacture of cellular gratings allow the creation of anti-slip coatings, which is especially important in places where oil is constantly being used or icing occurs during the cold season.

The wide range of application of such structural material as grating, because of its resistance to the loads and the possibility of using a variety of design solutions, allows it to be used for the construction of industrial gangways, platforms, in the construction of oil rigs, in the construction of energy facilities, warehouse terminals.
