Slippers for your own taste

Comfortable home shoes were always appreciated very highly. Returning after a hard working day, you want to lose weight of cares. Soft and comfortable things help us in this. If you have a variety of pieces of material, drapes, pieces of leather and fur, then you can sew the slippers with your own hands. Such a subject of home shoes will be enjoyed by family members and will be a good gift for close friends.

Let's look at the simplest slippers. With their own hands, they can be made even by those who do not have sewing skills. We need a few pieces of felt, sharp scissors and only twenty minutes of free time. First we make a pattern using a sheet of paper or an old newspaper. We take an insole of the appropriate size and circle it with a marker. We retreat two centimeters on each side and draw a second contour. Cut out the detail of the sole.

To construct a detail of the top, we add the sole in half and outline the sock. The resulting blank is cut along and spread apart by several centimeters for a free fit. Re-outline, correcting the contours of the part, and add from each edge of one and a half centimeters.

From pieces of felt, we cut out two details of the sole and top in the mirror image. Now you need to fix the tip on the bottom workpiece. Since we decided not to use a thread with a needle, we will use the simplest way to connect the parts. We take the top slipper and, stepping back one centimeter from the edge, make small cuts. We arrange them along an outer semicircle.

Now we put the workpiece of the top on the sole. We mark the location of the sections. With the help of small scissors, we cut out the spikes in the shape of the letter "T", one centimeter in height. We put both parts together. We insert the studs into the slots, firmly fixing the upper part on the sole. Thus, you can make both men's slippers, and children's. If you want to decorate the finished product, use ready-made thermo-labels or carefully cut out the pattern on the top part.

And do you know how to make slippers with your own hands from knitted socks? Very simple and fast. Knitted things keep us warm in the cold season. But the sole of your favorite socks quickly wears off. This causes the product to become unusable. But you can breathe life into old, but very favorite socks. For this it is sufficient to supplement their sole.

We need a piece of felt, a bright satin ribbon, a thick needle and an awl. We make a pattern of the sole and cut it out of felt, adding one centimeter on each side. We retreat from the 0.5 centimeter sections and make the punctures with an awl at a short distance from each other. We put a sock on the sole. We connect the parts with a needle and tape, beautifully sheathed slippers along the edge.

The top of the socks can simply be folded or rolled into a roller. Decorate the finished product with a small bow of satin ribbon in tone trim or fur bombs sewn to a bright lace.

Having old bootlegs from boots, gloves and small pieces of leather, you can sew comfortable slippers with your own hands. Leather is a universal, durable and beautiful material, from which unique things are obtained. Picking up multicolored flaps and pieces with different texture, you can make a single canvas. It will become a good basis for workpieces, from which you will sew leather slippers.

How to make a pattern, you already know. Will have to further strengthen the sole. For this, not two parts are cut out, but four, they are laminated with a thin foam rubber. The sole looks like a sandwich. The top part can be made single. Details are fastened together by a thin leather cord, threaded through pre-prepared holes.

Choose any you like the option of making home shoes and create. Start working with the simplest products, gradually complicating your task. So come the necessary experience and skill. Perhaps you will become the creator of exclusive shoes, and your name will go down in fashion history.
