Secrets through the ages - the pyramids of Egypt

The most ancient monumental structures that have survived to our days, built with the greatest precision, majestic and mysterious are, of course, the pyramids of Egypt, the echoes of ancient civilizations. At the sight of these monuments, it just shivers, it's worth imagining what efforts were worthwhile at a time when there were no more machines and automatic devices to create such giants.

Naturally, the question immediately arises: who built the pyramids in Egypt, how could this be done at that time? Yes, there were no devices and equipment yet, thousands of Egyptian slaves took part in the grandiose construction.

It is assumed that the pyramids were built in this way: the new pharaoh, coming to power, immediately began to prepare a posthumous home to have time to build it during life, because it took many years. He chose a place to establish the pyramid, then thousands of Egyptians went to the mountains behind the stone blocks. They pulled them on the sand. The plate was installed in the set place. Then it was covered with sand so that only its surface could be seen. The next plate was installed in the same way on it. And so on, to the very top. When the whole pyramid was installed, then sand was removed, and granite slabs were installed all along its surface. So, supposedly, the famous pyramids of Egypt were erected, many of which have survived to this day and continue to amaze and delight the visiting tourists.

History claims that, for example, a hundred thousand workers worked on the construction of the famous Cheops pyramid . Judging by its size and the absence of any mechanical assistants - this is not surprising. The puzzles of the pyramids of ancient Egypt amaze the imagination and excite the minds of millions of people throughout the ages. It is difficult to fit into the head of the whole system, under which it was possible to build such monuments. Moreover, with such precision, which does not lend itself to an ordinary person. Who guided these works, and how it was possible to achieve this accuracy - this remains a mystery for modern man.

The pyramids of Egypt, of course, have their own prehistory. It is assumed that initially, when the priests or tribal chiefs were buried, a room was erected below the ground, where the embalmed body of the deceased and his sculptural images lay. On the surface of the earth above it was placed a tombstone, trapezoidal and flat on top. She was called mastaba.

Time passed and in the territory of Egypt began to appear various small states, whose rulers wanted to stand out among others, and make their mastabs more outstanding, powerful and unusual. The beginnings of stepped pyramids began to appear - the tombstones laid one on top of the other, each correspondingly smaller. The first ancient pyramid is the pyramid of Djoser. Then some ancient architect realized that it would not be bad to fill the openings between the steps, and thus a pyramid with smooth walls, known in our time, appeared.

The pyramids of Egypt always aroused awe and perplexity. It is not clear until now, for example, why everything inside the pyramid was mummified, what got there, why it was sharpened even the bluntest blades. The biggest effect is observed in the central part of the pyramid, where there were usually rooms with mummies.

The most popular are the pyramids built in Giza. These are the largest pyramids, and they were erected by the pharaohs of the 4th dynasty. And among them the largest in size - the pyramid of Cheops. In height it reaches 146 meters, and the length of its sides is 230 meters. Historians assume that it was built for 20 years.

Mysteries of the pyramids of ancient Egypt store many secrets, and one of them - the so-called "curse of the pharaohs." It was noticed that the robbers, penetrating the pyramid to carry away the treasures buried with Pharaoh, later died in terrible agony. It is supposed that, probably, the ancient priests at the burial kept some bacteria in the pyramid, which were mummified there, and when the burial was opened, they woke up and hit the robber. But this is one of the assumptions, while nothing is confirmed.
