From the history of the breed

The breed of dogs has a long history. Its roots go back to the distant past. But we must admit that to date it has not been fully studied. At the exhibition in Munich, 29 dogs were introduced. All of them aroused great interest of specialists. 28 of the presented animals were bred in Munich, so in 1910 the breed became known as the "Munich schnauzer". This name persisted until 1923. It was then that the first standard of the breed appeared, in which the dog was called the "risen schnauzer". In 1925, the breed of dogs was officially recognized as a service schnauzer.

The history of the development of this breed on the territory of our country counts several tens of years. The first individuals appeared in the Soviet Union back in the 30s, but these were only single specimens with which the breeding work was not conducted.
