Catching fish here can only be a bait - riotous coastal vegetation makes it difficult to use spinning. In the pond, you can catch pike, perch, crucian carp and carp. And local carp weighs several kilograms each. And in good weather, they literally jump out of the water. There are also lines here, but catching them is a great success for the fisherman.

The Mystery of Water

Lake Shaitan has water with unusual properties. It is very dark, almost black. But if you put it in a container, it will become clear and transparent, like a tear. According to legend, this is due to the fact that the reservoir is formed by blood and tears.

Drifting Isles

Lake Shaitan is famous for its floating islands. There are more than twenty such islands . Some people can freely accommodate several people. Despite the fact that the islands are moving, the vegetation, represented by small trees and bushes, feels good here.

Fountains

Interesting is the lake and the fact that it can throw out fountains, which can reach a height of ten meters. But these emissions are rare and short. It is considered a great success to see them. The formation of fountains is accompanied by noises and echoes. For these sounds and called the lake - Shaitan. According to the beliefs of the local population, the evil spirit living in the lake emits water streams when something is angry.

Another Shaitan

The lake in the Omsk region, near the village of Okunevo, has the same name as the reservoir in the Kirov region. It is believed that in this area a meteorite once fell. In the place of the huge depressions, 5 lakes were formed over time : Shchuchye, Linevo, Danilovo, Urmannoye, and Lake Shaytan. These lakes are connected by an underground river. The water taken from the lakes is considered holy. It can be stored for years, keeping fresh taste and smell, and has medicinal properties. It is interesting that it heals not only the water taken from the lakes, but also its photographs. Every year pilgrims and scientists come to this area. But not everyone achieves the purpose of travel: often people wander, even having an accurate map and a compass. The same happens sometimes with local residents. It seems that someone specially knocks travelers out of the way. But the one who reaches the lakes, will be able to see their amazing properties. Lake water has cured many people of eczema and psoriasis. There are several cases of getting rid of cirrhosis and cancer. The legend says that if in a strict order one plunges into all five lakes, then all diseases will recede. But, unfortunately, no one can find the Lake of Sacred, although many saw it from afar. It is known that Peter Ershov, who wrote the fairy tale "The Humpbacked Horse", lived in Omsk. Probably, in his tale he used the legend of the wonderful lakes.
