Article 12.27 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation, to be more precise, its second part provides for the deprivation of driver's rights (for a period of up to one and a half years), which allowed himself to leave the accident site, or arrest, which can last for a maximum of 15 days. But when the driver drove the accident participants to the nearest hospital on his car, and then returned back, or moved to another place to free the road to the traffic flow to which he had created an obstacle - such actions are not regarded as leaving the place of an accident. How is the installation of the driver, which went to leave the place of the accident? The limitation period for this violation is three months. This means that if law enforcement agencies do not establish the identity and whereabouts of the perpetrator for three months, it will no longer be possible to attract it precisely for leaving the site of the accident. But this does not mean that he does not have to compensate for the damage. When it is found, the victims can go to court and collect all the damage caused in civil procedure.
