History

The address where the puppet theater is located: Lipetsk, ul. Gagarin, house 74. It was opened in July 1965. The first performance of the troupe - "Honest Word" based on the play by Sergei Mikhalkov. Over the years of its existence, the theater has been on the verge of closure many times, because of the unsettledness, impossibility to show all the works that we would like. In those years the repertoire included such performances as "The Divine Comedy", "The Military Secret", "Shaitan - the Leather Ear", "The Goat Lupa", "The Pike Wish", "The Armenian Legend", "Friends of Little Kitty", " Petrik Tiger "," I Count to Five "," White, Red, Black "," Grad Swan "," Alyonushka and Soldier "," Mysterious Hippo "," Giraffe and Rhino "," Boy of Peas "," Rimtiti Bear "and a lot others.

Puppet Theater (Lipetsk) traveled with tours throughout the Soviet Union, as well as some other countries. The troupe began to take an active part in various festivals, which it has been successfully doing to this day. At the beginning of the two thousand years the theater building was closed for restoration, which lasted three years. Completed major repairs in 2008.

Puppet theater (Lipetsk) opened the season in the renovated building with the play "Troubadour and His Friends". In 2013, the troupe visited the festival in the French city of Avignon. In the city of Tambov the troupe won the diploma of the laureate. It was a theatrical festival. He was called "The Tradition of the Past of the Deep".

Since 2011, the theater itself has organized a festival for professional puppet theaters within its walls. The name was given to him: "Pushkin's sources. Korenivshchino. " Troupes from different cities took part in it. This festival was held on the initiative of the puppeteers of the city of Lipetsk. He was declared permanent. This festival will now be held once in three years. Summing up its results, announcement and awarding of winners takes place in the Russian village of Korenevschino, in the Lipetsk region, on the birthday of Alexander Sergeevich Pushkin.

Festivals

He went to Tambov and was dedicated to the anniversary of the puppet theater of this city. At the festival came nine professional theater groups from different cities.
