Sometimes medicines have to be used for the rest of their lives. If you do not recognize the thyroid problems on time, the symptoms of which are fairly easy to notice, you may need to treat hypothyroidism or hyperthyroidism in the future. This can lead to a rapid increase in cholesterol in the blood, brittle bones, as well as the risk of heart attacks, stroke or even the development of thyroid cancer.
