Inclusive education: what is it?

All people are equal - almost everyone knows this. But often in our life this rule is not respected. This is said even by special institutions, where they are sent to study children with special needs. But this can be avoided.

About the term

This is what inclusive education aims at . What is this is the first question that almost everyone can have. So, the very term "inclusion" came to us from the Latin language and means "inclusion", "attraction". To education, it is very simple: according to the principles of inclusive education, all children, including certain problems or needs, must learn together. This means that there is absolutely no need to create special programs for disabled children, they can easily study with ordinary children in a regular school. However, there are some limitations: for example, children with mental disabilities who simply can not be in society.

Basic

If this is a novelty in our state, then everyone in the world knows what inclusive education is, what is the norm, and not an exception to the rules. This is a normal arrangement of things, in which children do not divide into different categories, but are perceived as equal. According to inclusive education, all members of the group are on the same level, are equally included in the social life and ways of life of their own team. Such children are also taught the same way.

Principles

There are also eight basic principles that include inclusive education. What are these principles? First: the value of the individual does not depend on what kind of knowledge or skills she has. Everyone is able to think, learn and develop. Also, all have the right to communicate, all people need each other and in close relationships. It is important for every person to communicate with peers. Inclusive education focuses not on what the student can not learn, but on what he already knows. And, of course, learning everything is much easier in the process of living communication, rather than any other way of education.

About the process

It is worth noting that inclusive education in the DOW and in the school will be somewhat different. At the same time, every teacher, every school that works on the principle of inclusion, it is necessary to work out their own philosophy, their own specific rules, according to which this or that collective will live. Thus, it is not only teachers who need to teach the rules of inclusion. Be aware of the case should be even the attendants: kitchen workers, guards, cleaners. After all, a child, learning by this principle, should not be infringed by anyone and never. All staff should be informed of the disability or special needs of some students so that this does not cause specific problems. Somewhat harder will be given to inclusive education in school, because if staff can not have problems, they can appear among peers. Not all children are tolerant and tolerant, they are often cruel to those who are a bit "not that". Therefore, in school, first of all it is necessary to work with children, schoolchildren.

Problems

Understanding the concept of "inclusive education", what it is and what it is, as they say, eat, it is worth paying attention to certain problems, when this kind of education can not be properly introduced. So, first of all, this unpreparedness of ordinary schools in the architectural plan: there are few where there are ramps and special lifts for disabled children. Very often not only peers, but even school principals do not know enough about the very problem of disability, they are afraid to work with such children. And, of course, parents of children with limited needs themselves create huge problems, thinking that they can not afford the right to education.
