Powdery mildew: treatment and prevention

How to deal with powdery mildew? First of all, prevention. In time, remove the obsolete parts of the plant. Old twigs and leaves ruthlessly destroy. The soil under the plant is periodically loosened. Do not plant the plants too close to each other.

Differences in night and daytime temperatures (especially strong fluctuations) exhaust the plants, and adversely affect their ability to effectively resist the fungus. Measures to combat it include the introduction of potash fertilizers and superphosphate. It is noticed that urea and overgrown cow dung, on the contrary, give a green light to the development of the disease. To prevent infection, spray the planting with "Quadrice".

If the leaves are only powdery mildew, the treatment begins with the processing of all parts of the plant in gray. The finely ground powder is placed in a pouch of gauze, from which it is then sown to the "patients". Pollination should be made in windless weather, and then from one gust of wind all your work will go to waste.

Appearing powdery mildew, the treatment of which folk remedies includes other recipes, is afraid of ordinary potassium permanganate. But, so that the leaves are not burned, the drug is diluted in a weak proportion: a ten-liter bucket of water takes about one and a half grams of potassium permanganate. We spray the plants with the solution.

There is a more rare way of fighting for the health of green wards. This is the treatment of leaves with milk whey. It is diluted with water and then applied to plants. As a result, they form a film that does not reproduce the fungus. Thus, the development of such a disease as powdery mildew will be stopped. Treatment on this does not stop. The best results are provided by a comprehensive approach.

Therefore, do not neglect the special means produced by industry. Fungicides, which are designed for the prevention and destruction of fungal lesions, are highly effective.

At the first signs of the disease, regular treatment with Topaz or Tivit Jet is necessary.

If on your plants there is powdery mildew already settled on the leaves, the treatment is carried out with the help of "Tilt", "Lepidocide", "Skor". Do not be lazy, carefully spray every leaf, not ignoring the inner part of it! It is useful to further process the soil.

Remove the severely affected parts of the plant. Do not allow the fungus to spread to a healthy fit.
