Spikes after cesarean: the causes of the onset, symptoms and treatment

According to statistics, to date almost 25% of babies are born with the help of caesarean section, which can cause the appearance of various diseases in women. So, every second young mother has spikes after such a surgical procedure. These are thin films that interconnect the organs of the small pelvis, interfering with their normal functioning. Spikes after caesarean section are formed due to a violation of the serous cover of the peritoneum.

Symptoms

In most cases, it is impossible to detect the presence of adhesions. For a very long time they do not give any indication of appearance. Already in a more neglected form, a woman can feel difficulty in bowel movements (constipation), flatulence, pain in the lower back and lower abdomen. As a rule, such symptoms are most often disturbed by the violation of proper nutrition and exercise.

Spikes after cesarean: treatment

If the presence of this pathology does not affect the woman's well-being and the work of the organs, it is not necessary to get rid of it. If spikes after caesarean are hindered and accompanied by pain, then it is recommended to resort to conservative treatment, for example, physiotherapy. In the case of low effectiveness of this method, surgical intervention is inevitable.

If the spikes after cesarean are very strong, then most likely, the doctor will apply aquadisection (dissection of scars with the help of a strong pressure of water) or laser therapy (elimination by laser beams). Sometimes with spikes it is necessary to struggle by a method of electrosurgery (with the help of an electron knife). Laparoscopy is also a popular way of getting rid of this pathology. As a rule, they resort to it when infertility occurs.

The only drawback of any surgery is the risk of re-emergence of adhesions. It turns out that this method does not guarantee the final disposal of them.

Prevention of adhesions

After cesarean, a woman can itself prevent the development of this pathology. First, she needs moderate physical activity, which must be started as soon as possible. For example, do not take too long to adhere to bed rest after surgery - the first steps in the ward should be done within 9-11 hours after the operation. Secondly, you need to pay more attention to the quality of your nutrition - it is worth giving preference to those products that will cleanse the intestines and will not provoke constipation.

Effects

Adhesions on the seam after cesarean can cause the impossibility of repeated pregnancy (infertility). The fact is that as a result of such a pathology, a violation of the patency of the pipes often occurs, so penetration into the uterus of the egg becomes impossible. If the spikes are "chained in their chains" and the intestine, the woman may have signs of his obstruction in the form of vomiting, bloating and stool retention. In this case, urgent surgical intervention is indicated.
