Thus, if we grow seedlings of early cabbage for 45 days and plant it in early May, the first heads of the early-June cabbage of the June variety will be obtained in early June. It should be taken into account that the planting of seedlings depends on the climatic zone. When the early cabbage is planted, stable warm weather should already be established. This period does not coincide in different regions. Therefore, the seedlings are planted taking into account local peculiarities. These mixtures can be prepared in advance and stored before use in a cold room. Before sowing seeds, the soil is warmed up or steamed with water vapor. This exercise will reduce the risk of infection. Ready-made soil is filled with containers for growing seedlings. When reusing plastic containers, they are treated with a solution of potassium permanganate. The same solution can be used to soil the soil, which has not undergone heat treatment.

Seed sowing

Growing seedlings - troublesome business. Seeds are processed, the tanks are filled with soil. All is ready to sow the seeds. They are sown in rows in seedlings or two seeds in cups / cassettes. Further care for seedlings of early cabbage consists of regular watering and observing the light regime. If necessary, the plants are fed. Ten days before moving to the open ground seedlings are tempered.
