Food composition to maintain normal health

The chemical composition of food products has been studied by numerous laboratories and institutes for many years. So the geneticists have already learned how to create the most unusual genetically modified products that have unique characteristics. Nowadays it can sometimes be quite difficult to accurately determine what is contained in the products, and in fact all scientists are unequivocally convinced that the composition of food products is the main factor affecting health.

The lack of necessary substances can cause a variety of diseases. And it's not even about the caloric content of the products themselves, but about the chemicals they contain. Every child knows that for good health you need different vitamins present in all kinds of foods. Just as vitamins are needed, different micro- and macro-elements are needed. Despite the fact that they are required in scant amounts, their lack or shortage can lead to serious consequences.

All balanced diets are based on the opinion that the composition of food products must fully meet the needs of the body in all, without exception, nutrients. Since it is quite problematic to determine which chemical elements our body lacks, the most optimal way to solve the problem is to consume different foods over a long-established and well-studied food pyramid. It explains how much and what kind of food you need to consume to maintain normal functioning.

The composition of foods of different origins is strikingly different, so all food groups must be eaten. The basis of a balanced diet is cereals, vegetables and fruits. Cereals are rich in Group B vitamins, polysaccharides, minerals and fiber. In vegetables and fruits, many different minerals, vitamins, organic acids. They contain different antioxidants. Our body also needs daily consumption of dairy products, fish, meat and eggs. Dairy products are a source of necessary calcium and vitamins D and A. Fish, meat and eggs are rich in proteins, fats and trace elements. The fish contain omega-3 fatty acids, which are vital for us. Energy for our body is extracted from fats, proteins and carbohydrates, so knowing the composition of food products, you can easily calculate the rate of their consumption for each population group separately.

When preparing your diet, you should take into account the instability of vitamins, which are destroyed partially or completely during the heat treatment. In this regard, a sufficient amount of fresh fruit and vegetables should be introduced into the daily diet.

Necessary for our life is the mineral substances, which, although we need them in relatively insignificant doses, are an important element in the functioning of the body.

Recommendations for the consumption of various nutrients are based on scientific research. The daily norms developed by specialists depend on the population group. According to the EU directive and the updated GOST, manufacturers must truthfully indicate on the packaging the composition of food products and their nutritional value. Among such data, a line stating the daily consumption norms of products is required.

Do not forget about the age features of the diet. For example, children need more dairy products than an adult. This is due to the fact that the growing body requires much more calcium. To maintain the sound health of the younger generation, you must adhere to established norms of nutrition and carefully monitor such an important moment as the composition of baby food.
