A talented person, as a rule, shows his abilities in many branches of art. The greatest Russian poet Vladimir Mayakovsky was no exception. His paintings are not widely known to the general public (everyone knows basically only about his work in ROST). But it was this talent that began to manifest in Volodya from childhood and adolescence, earlier all subsequent.

Family continuity

The poet's father, Vladimir Konstantinovich, drew with pleasure. According to his sketches, even some furniture was built in the house. And his mother and sisters were fond of painting. Revolution and War

At the age of 14, a young man joins the Communist Party. He is engaged in active political activity. For that he is subjected to arrests three times. In prison he begins to write poetry, but the desire to become an artist does not leave the poet. After 1910, he studied at the School of Sculpture and Architecture, where he learned the basics of professional education. Pictures Mayakovsky 1912-1915: "Portrait of a Woman", "Model", "Iron Bridge" and some others. Various techniques were used: watercolor, ink, pencil, charcoal. When there were no materials, the poet could do with improvised means. Burned matches were in the course, butts stained in ink. The poet liked to portray giraffes, dogs, zebras, crocodiles. And his favorite occupation was to draw friendly cartoons on some acquaintances (Repin and Chukovsky, for example).

Growth Windows

Figures are also full of notebooks of the Poet of the Revolution. He most clearly demonstrated his talent as an artist in the Russian Telegraph Agency. But few people know that the first posters and paintings by Mayakovsky were made in cooperation with Kazimir Malevich back in 1914. This happened on the wave of patriotism during the First World War. The satirical posters were ridiculed by Austrians and Germans who encroached on Russia.
