Philip Bakhtin: biographical information, activities and interesting facts

He has long established himself as a competent, creative and talented journalist. The main thing in his profession is the ability to win the attention of the audience. And Philip Bakhtin has this quality, no wonder he for a long time headed the media magazine Esquare, which had and has a huge army of readers.

But the interests of Philip Bakhtin are not limited exclusively to his professional activities. He is known as the initiator of important social projects. The journalist is the creator of the brand called "The Country of Children", which in theory was a network of institutions for leisure activities for boys and girls. Kindergartens were to appear in several Russian regions. Unfortunately, after some time the project was closed for objective reasons. Anyway, but many are grateful to the head of the Esquire for his good endeavors.

However, the journalist self-critically declares that he has not achieved significant success in life yet. Who is Philip Bakhtin and how did he turn into the chief editor of the most popular magazine? Let's consider this issue in more detail.

An ordinary guy from Vologda

So, the hero of our article is Philip Bakhtin. Biographical information about this creative representative of the media will certainly be of interest to many. He was born in Vologda in 1976. Initially, the young man did not even dream of associating his life with journalism. After receiving a certificate of maturity, he went to Pskov to enter the history faculty of the Pedagogical Institute. S. Kirov.

Having successfully passed exams, he became a student of the above-mentioned university. He did not show special zeal for studying historical science. Much interesting for him was a student KVN, which he enjoyed visiting. Anyway, but having received the diploma, Philip Bakhtin suddenly realized that he probably hurried on with the choice of profession. He wanted to realize himself, but within the framework of the regional city he could not do it.

Then the young man decides to go to the metropolitan metropolis, which provided great opportunities for disclosing the potential and realization of ambitions to all without exception.

But upon his arrival in Moscow, Philip Bakhtin did not immediately understand what he wanted to do on a professional basis. The young man did not have any clearly expressed interests, except that he just liked to communicate with "good" people. He decides to become a student of VGIK (Faculty of Directing) and look around. No sooner said than done. And after a while in the field of view of Philip gets one magazine.

"Poster"

It's about a printed publication called "Afisha". On its pages were covered all the news of the world of entertainment.

Bakhtin Philip, after reading the material outlined in the magazine, was delighted with Afisha. The young man suddenly wanted terribly to work in this periodical, which appeared twice a month. At one point he got courage, called the editor-in-chief of "Afisha" and asked him to write his candidacy to the staff of the journal. Imagine the surprise of the young man, when a voice in the tube invited him to come for an interview.

Noteworthy is the fact that Bakhtin Philip successfully passed it and became an employee of "Afisha". The young man had to leave his studies at VGIK. Soon, Philip was entrusted with writing articles in almost all the headings of the journal, with the possible exception of operas and ballets. A self-taught journalist began to cover sports news in the Afisha newspaper and step by step to the position of assistant director. But at some point Bakhtin's ignition was over, and he began to get bored working in the collective of the magazine. It began to notice and the management of "Afisha", so the graduate of the history department was forced to write an application for dismissal.

FHM

However, already in 2003 journalist Philip Bakhtin received a job offer. The vacancy of the editor-in-chief of the FHM magazine in "Independient Media" goes to him. However, the subject of this periodical was specific: not quite adequate humor and half-naked girls. In general, FHM is a magazine oriented for teenagers.

The post of the head of this periodical brought Philip a fairly good income, but this work did not give satisfaction. After some time, the ex-journalist Afisha finally realized that the FHM magazine is absolutely not his level. Soon he began discussing with one of the bosses of Independence Media the options for his participation in other projects. First, it was about the magazine "Arena", but then it was decided to change it to the edition of Esquare.

"Esq"

Michael von Schlippe (one of the leaders of Independence Media) agreed to submit the candidacy of Bakhtin for approval as chief editor of Esquire, and eventually he received it. This edition, designed for thoughtful and legible representatives of the stronger sex, and not for fans of sensational gossip, Philip directed until 2011. The first (Russian-language version) magazine appeared in 2005th.

Social projects

In recent years, Esquare's leadership has begun to shift the interests of the graduate of the Faculty of History. Bakhtin Philip Evgenevich seriously took a great interest in social projects. He wanted to create a whole arsenal of kindergartens in order to improve qualitatively the leisure time of underage boys and girls. First, on an equal footing with Sergei Remer, the journalist built a kindergarten "Kamchatka" in the Pskov region. And this project really worked. Many fathers and mothers gave their children to this camp and were grateful to its creator for such a project. And Philip Evgenevich personally takes part in the organization of children's leisure, giving up the services of professional counselors. Instead, he called on creative people: journalists, actors, musicians, writers.

They just instill in children an interest in great art through staging musicals, performances, cartoons. And in this creative process, the guys are directly involved: they are delighted with such pastime.

Unsuccessful project

But the activist could not realize the construction of the kindergarten "Country of Children" in the Yaroslavl region until the end. This social project was even supported by regional officials. The completion of the construction was scheduled for the summer of 2015. Successfully functioned an office in Moscow, located on Patriarchal Ponds. The establishment of the "Country of Children" in terms of spaciousness should have been pressed by the famous "Artek". But the implementation of the project overnight came to naught. The reason was banal: investor Leonid Hanukaev refused to invest in the project.

Philip Bakhtin ("The Country of Children") was forced to realize his plans at a different geographical point. He started construction of a children's camp on the Estonian island of Saarema. The journalist broke off business contacts with his partner Sergei Remer, who became a full-fledged master in "Komchatka". Will the project "The Land of Children" revive, and will there be any social projects from Bakhtin? Time will tell.
