"Phenazepam": instructions for use and the effect of the drug

As early as 1978, a domestic medicinal preparation called "phenazepam" was manufactured and pharmacologically studied . Instructions for use indicate that the drug has a rather strong anti-anxiety effect. By its power it surpasses many known tranquilizers and is therefore successfully used to cure depressive psychotic conditions.

In the form of liquid for intravenous and intramuscular injections or tablets from 0.5 to two and a half milligrams is issued "Phenazepam". The instruction on the use of this drug gives all the necessary information about the intake and dosage regimen. However, the patient should never follow it on his own, and take the drug only under supervision and taking into account all the recommendations of the attending physician.

Most often, the daily dose in treatment is up to 5 mg. Sometimes 1 mg is enough, and in severe conditions, up to 10 mg of drug per day is possible. Usually treatment begins with a minimum dose of half a milligram, which is increased every day, reaching three, a maximum of five, milligrams per day.

With various kinds of psychopathic, psychopathic, neurotic-like and neurotic states, accompanied by emotional instability, high irritability, fear and anxiety, "Fenazepam" is prescribed . The effect of the drug is effective in the emergence of phobias, obsessions, panic reactions and psychogenic psychoses, with oppressed conditions, hypochondriac syndromes, including those that did not respond to other tranquilizers. On the strength of its influence, this drug is in no way inferior to most of the neuroleptics, soothingly acting on the central nervous system.

With a sudden discontinuation of alcohol, a state of alcohol withdrawal occurs. To stop it, also prescribe "Phenazepam". Description of the drug includes a hypnotic effect. It causes a close to a natural calm sleep, after which patients cease to feel lethargic, depressed, heaviness in the head. They are in high spirits and working capacity.

Helps to get rid of vegetative disorders in the form of a beating heartbeat and excessive sweating, to lower the tone of skeletal muscles, to reduce dizziness and headache drug "Fenazepam". Its effect is evident already in the first days, and sometimes even hours, after the beginning of therapy. First of all, anxiety is reduced, mood is normalized, and in some situations even euphoria was observed in patients. Shemostopathic and depersonalization phenomena disappear extremely quickly, sleep is normalized. In successful situations, the reduction of symptoms is completed in a few days. Further, as a maintenance therapy in small doses, the drug "Phenazepam" is prescribed.

Instructions for use indicate that at the first stage of treatment there is often a feeling of fatigue, dizziness, drowsiness. Patients, mostly elderly, complain of instability in the gait, disorientation and distracted attention. It should also be borne in mind that reactions of an allergic nature, skin itching, urinary retention, anorexia, diarrhea, or constipation, heartburn or nausea, as well as dry mouth can cause the drug "phenazepam".

Description of the drug includes a number of precautions when taking it, which you should know about. A single dose, frequency and duration of reception is determined only by the doctor. He must also take into account his reaction to other drugs, possibly taken by the patient. This drug may alter or significantly increase their effect on the body. This includes alcohol, and in any doses. Throughout the course of therapy, the use of alcoholic beverages is categorically forbidden. It is also prohibited to cancel the drug "Phenazepam" at once.

Instruction for use contains a number of contraindications. These include pronounced renal and hepatic insufficiency, severe myasthenia gravis. Outpatient drug is assigned to dispatchers, transport drivers and other people whose occupations require an increased speed of reaction and concentration of attention.
