The composition of a wet compress includes vodka or alcohol. The liquid should be warm, but not hot. Compresses are prohibited at high temperature or purulent discharge, which often accompanies otitis media.
Treatment: drops from natural raw materials
Alcohol is used not only externally for warming compresses, it is quite effective as a base for drops. For example, slightly warmed vodka, which drips into the ear, can help even with a running form with complications. It is important to remember that the drops should be body temperature: to do this, it is sufficient to hold a flacon or a pipette in the clamped palm.
Medication for otitis media
If your diagnosis is otitis media, treatment at home can be performed according to the prescription of the doctor, that is, with the use of medicines. To relieve heat and pain, it is often recommended to take paracetamol. A special feature of this drug is a gradual decrease in temperature, which does not cause bronchial obstruction.

Antibiotics are used on the last, neglected and severe otitis media. Among the prescribed drugs, the main are semi-synthetic drugs that contain penicillin or cephalosporin. These substances are universal in the fight against various pathogens. Antibiotics can be in the form of tablets or drops.
