Unfortunately, Olga was left without a father early when she barely completed two years, he died. The second husband of her mother was engaged in the education of the girl. My stepfather worked as a watchman twenty-four hours later and was a real despot. And Olga's mother and her own brother Sasha practically did not see, since she worked in two shifts at the chemical plant, in order to feed the family somehow. When Olga's brother turned eighteen, he fell ill with a severe form of sore throat. Complications in the form of a three-valvular heart disease laid the young guy for many years in a hospital bed. Yet he managed to get back on his feet for a while, but in 1983 died at the age of 35, like his father.

Olga Zarubina: Thirst for art

Even in the kindergarten, Olya began to show creativity. She happily performed in front of her parents' audience - she sang and danced. The singer recalls her first experience of performing on stage with a smile. According to her, this happened in the pioneer camp named after V.I. Once, in 1977, on Glavpochtamp, where the band usually rehearsed, a fateful meeting took place for Olga - she met Vyacheslav Dobrynin. He became the conductor for her on the big stage, since it was Dobrynin who reached an agreement with Mikhail Shufutinsky, the head of VIA Leisya, a song, about listening to Zarubina. The leader of the ensemble was delighted with the talent of the young girl and immediately invited her to write a joint work. Soon the country heard the song "You'll see."

Soon Zarubina took part in the contest of young performers in the House of Culture named after Gorbunov, where one of the jury members, the famous composer David Tukhmanov, drew attention to her. He promised to write a song for the girl and wrote her name in a notebook. Olga did not take this promise seriously. But the composer did not throw words to the wind - a year later on the "Blue Light" (on 01/01/1979) Olga Zarubina sang the song "It should not be so", the music to which David Tukhmanov wrote, and the words - Leonid Derbenev. Performing a song in a duet with Mikhail Boyarsky brought the girl a real glory, she began to learn the whole country!

After the competition in the Palace of Culture. Gorbunova Tukhmanov advised Nikolai Vorobyov, art director of the VIA "Music", to invite Olga to work.
