The Oka egg is produced in the open spaces of Ryazan in the village of Oksky. It is not difficult to guess that the name comes from the "deposit" of eggs. The poultry farm supplies both the local population and other regions. Consider in more detail the history and products of the manufacturer.

History of development

For a more complete idea of where the Oka egg comes from, we propose to study the history of the establishment of a poultry farm, which today has existed for more than 40 years.

In the person of the first director the well-known veterinarian Sidorenko Vasily Andreevich has acted. The factory began its activity in 1972. Then the Okskoe production could provide products only to local residents of the region.

Over the next two years, the factory hatchery has grown to a million mark. That's how many chickens were in 1974. The eggs were imported from the Baltic States.

In 1975 there were changes in the sphere of management. Namely, Anatoly Nikolayevich Gurov came to the place of Sidorenko. Subsequently, he spent over 10 years as a director. A project was planned, which included the creation of 59 new objects for laying hens. Also, according to the plan, 270 thousand hens were to give an egg turnover of 65 million per year.

By 1982, the producer of the Oka egg surpassed its own expectations. The poultry farm passed the planned boundary of the project. However, the Oka egg, despite success, continued to supply counters only to local stores in Ryazan and the region. And in 1987 came a new manager in the person of Stroikov Sergey Konstantinovich. The new director was a well-deserved worker of agriculture.

The arrival of Stroikov brought only positive results, despite the difficult years and time, he managed to raise the production of Oka to a higher level.

Changes with the advent of "zero" years

Ratnikov Sergey Viktorovich came to the management in 2006. He did a lot of work on the development and promotion of Oka poultry farm products.

Several factories were merged with the agricultural bias, namely the Denezhnikovsky feed mill, Pavlovskoye, Aleksandrovsky PPR, Rybnovskaya poultry factory, and the Urban poultry factory.

As a result, now Oka Poultry Farm is a full-fledged producer, which has its own poultry feed, machinery for the transportation of products and grain, high-level Italian equipment.

Present day

Today, the general director is Oleg Vladimirovich Lyakin, who at one time decided to expand the hatchery. Therefore, in 2010 Oka Poultry Factory started a new project. One of its main participants is Pas Reform Hatchery Technology.

It is a Dutch company that produces incubation equipment. The project cost was approximately 270 million rubles. To implement this, additional funds were needed, which PJSC Sberbank provided.

About the hatchery

The conditions of the incubator correspond to all sanitary and veterinary norms. The hatchery is located far from other production facilities.

If we talk about sanitation, then all the staff in the hatchery, and this is about 60 people, before getting into the shop, must take a shower. Shower cabins are located on the territory of the hatchery. Also, the company provides employees with a specialized uniform.

Production process

Here we will consider the process of breeding laying hens, which ultimately provide the egg manufacturer with an egg.

The process of breeding chickens is quite complicated. It all looks like a conveyor. Initially, Oka eggs (photos of which are presented in the article) are delivered by means of trays and carts to the disinfecting chamber. This room is called "Fumigation chamber".

The next step is moving the Oka egg into a specially equipped room, this is necessary in order to bring it to room temperature.

Immediately after obtaining the desired temperature, the eggs are transferred to the incubation machine, where they are found for 18 days. After this, the egg enters the room for re-laying, and there it is determined whether it is fertilized with the help of a modern apparatus.

In case the egg is "empty", it is destroyed. Fertilized eggs are transferred to the output cabinets in which they are kept for three days. Next, the chicks are sorted and grafted.

Where is the product sold?

Since 1972, the producer of Oka eggs has made great progress in the wholesale trade. To date, the poultry factory supplies its eggs not only to Ryazan and adjacent areas, but also to the Moscow region.

The level of prosperity and the scale of development can be said by signed contracts with such large networks as Perekrestok, Metro, Auchan, Magnit, Dixi, and Zelgros.

Where do the "spent" chickens go?

The manufacturer chose for himself the development of a narrow specialization, so he does not deal with meat production. From an interview with commercial director Ivan Grishkov, it is known that the chickens that have left the production are resold to such production brands as Tsaritsyno and Mikoyan. Later their poultry is used for the production of semi-finished products.

What are the categories of eggs?

Eggs are classified as either shelf-life or grade. The main indicator of the variety is the mass of one egg. Consequently, the larger the egg, the higher its grade.

By the storage period, dining and diet eggs are selected. Feature of dietary eggs is the minimum shelf life. Because of this, they can not be bought in stores.

Table eggs are stored longer. Basically it depends on the temperature in the room. If it is indoor, then no more than 25 days, and if stored in refrigeration equipment, then 90 days.

As for the mass, the abbreviations indicated on the package should be interpreted as follows:

  1. The highest category - from 75 grams (SW);
  2. Selective - from 65 to 74 grams (C0);
  3. 1 category - from 55 to 64 grams (C1);
  4. 2 category - from 45 to 54 grams (C2);
  5. 3 category - from 35 to 44 grams (C3).

Accordingly, the price category depends on this. Eggs weighing 75 grams will have a higher cost than eggs of the third category.

What eggs can the Oka producer offer?

The poultry farm is ready to offer the buyer an ox egg C0 and Oka eggs CB. Also in the assortment of shops you can see eggs marked C1 and C2. Eggs of the third category are not produced by the manufacturer on the retail stream.

Examination of quality

Oka eggs were tested by Roscontrol. The results of the examination showed that they correspond to the declared parameters. But no less important is the fact that the Oka egg complies with GOST standards. Also successfully tested in SanPiN.

Studies have shown that the Oka producer does not use medicines to treat his laying hens. No pharmacological groups of antibiotics have been identified. Many manufacturers use tetracycline and levomycitin preparations, but this does not apply to Oka poultry farm. The mass of the presented samples of eggs perfectly corresponded to the requirements for their category.

However, it is necessary separately to disclose the advantages and disadvantages revealed by the Roskontrol. The pluses include the fact that Oka eggs are large and useful. They do not contain harmful substances, including antibiotics.
