Mounting profile: use wisely

The application of the mounting profile in modern construction is very wide. It is necessary to be able to distinguish elements used in the installation of drywall, plastic panels and cabling.

Profile types

Gypsum board has become a truly universal finishing material. Mount the suspended ceiling, level out in one day the curved walls, arrange partitions or a complete redevelopment indoors, it allows you to quickly and with perfect angles. The subsequent finish does not take much time, does not require a lot of material.

At the device of all these works the mounting profile galvanized of various cross-sections is used. Their length varies from 2 to 4 meters, the thickness of the metal - 4-6 mm. By the nature of the use they distinguish:

  1. Guides (UD, UW).
  2. Rack profiles (CD, UD).

The second carry a weight load (they are attached to the drywall), so they have additional stiffeners. The rack mounting profile C-shaped - the main element in the device gypsum plaster structures. The dimensions of the section are 60 × 27 mm. Ceiling U-shaped profile is used for the installation of suspended structures. The cross section is 60 × 27 mm, 48 × 17 mm. The guiding mounting profile is used to fix the rack mount. The dimensions of the section are 100 × 50 mm, 65 × 50 mm, 50 × 50 mm.

In addition to these elements, the GKL installation uses connecting parts:

  • Perforated corner;
  • An extension cable is used for docking along a single line;
  • One- and two-level connectors for docking at profile matings;
  • Suspended ceilings;
  • Traction, hooks.

C-shaped perforated mounting profile is used for electrical work. With its help cables are attached to the walls, electrical shields, counters and other hinged electrical equipment. Material - galvanized steel, wall thickness - 1.5-2 mm, length - 2 m.

We fix the plastic profile

For fixing PVC panels, the PVC profile is used in six modifications:

  1. Starting: has a C-shaped shape, the bottom shelf is twice as long as the top. Closes the side of the first panel to be installed.
  2. Connector in the form of the letter H. Used to increase the length of the panel.
  3. Corner outer: two parallel corners, fastened together. Used to connect panels in the outer corners.
  4. The angle is internal. To connect the panels in the outer corners.
  5. The end: it has the shape of the letter F, it covers the end of the panel with framing of door and window openings.
  6. Ceiling mounting profile in the form of a plinth with a shelf for the panel. Designed to visually differentiate the plane of the wall and ceiling.
  7. Corner: looks like a tape. Used to decorate the inner and outer corners, bends to the desired side manually.

Mounting elements are cut off easily with a saw blade with small teeth. Fasten to the wall of the PVC panel on a wooden rail in dry rooms and on a plastic or metal profile in the damp. The assembly parts can be attached with a furniture stapler.

Profiles of this series are also used for finishing the slopes of windows after installation of PVC-construction. In these cases, the inner surface is filled with a lath from the rack. Between the wall and the panel there is a heater. Such finishing is used for the most part in production and storage facilities.
