History

In 1954 Moscow received a new stage . The stage theater is located in the building on Mayakovsky Square. The troupe was founded by People's Artist of the RSFSR N.P. Smirnov-Sokolsky. In 1961 the theater received a new building - on the Bersenevskaya embankment, where it is still located.

Artistic director

The Variety Theater (Moscow) since 1997 is headed by Gennady Viktorovich Khazanov. After graduation, he made attempts to enter the theatrical schools and universities of the country. But he was not accepted. Then he became a student of the Moscow Civil Engineering Institute. Gennady began to actively participate in amateur performance. At that time a character was born - a student of a culinary college, which made him famous.

In 1965 G. Khazanov entered the circus school and soon began to perform on the stage.

Gennady Viktorovich is a full knight of the Order of Merit for the Fatherland.

G. Khazanov plays in productions, starred in films and serials, voices cartoon characters, takes part in a TV show.
