Monument to Yeltsin - man and era

The destruction of the Soviet empire could not take place without a lot of mistakes, crimes and other extremely unpleasant moments. Someone had to decide on the first step and take responsibility for everything that was happening in a huge country. Such a person was found. He became the first president of Russia.

The monument to Yeltsin was opened for viewing on February 1, 2011. On this day, he would have turned eighty, on this anniversary, and were confined to the construction of a monument in Yekaterinburg, a city in which Boris Nikolayevich is well remembered. Here he led the regional party organization for a long time, and the style of his work was quite authoritarian. The opening was attended by President Medvedev and his wife, they liked the monument.

The ceremony was held on the birthday of Yeltsin, when people remembered all the good and bad, connected with the period of his leadership of the country.

Dissatisfied with the activities of the first President was a lot. You can even say that a lot, and at the end of his reign, their number was characterized as the overwhelming majority.

The economic stagnation caused by the disruption of economic ties, loss of government, unpunished general theft and virtually complete halt of production threatened to starve in potentially the richest country in the world. From abroad humanitarian aid was received , often collected on the principle that "we are worthless", and which had a clearly mocking character, the building of the parliament was shot from the tower guns of the Russian Army tanks, a war was being waged in Chechnya, led by incompetent commanders. It was quite real that the possibility of Russia's disintegration into small hostile principalities could easily be established over which foreign governments would easily establish control.

Already in August, the monument to Yeltsin, the first President of the new Russia, was desecrated, he was flooded with blue beauties. By itself, any fact of vandalism is deplorable, there are no dead shams, but the hooligans who committed this crime tried to justify it with their political views.

Sculptor Frangulyan, who previously created a tombstone to Yeltsin, used white marble as a material. In this he expressed his attitude to the image of the President, which opened up new opportunities for Russia, rejecting the communist idea. Despite the many woes that struck the people in troubled times, the general meaning of the transformations was true.

The monument to Yeltsin in Yekaterinburg is not pleasant not only to the political opponents of the first President of the Russian Federation, his artistic merits are criticized. Thus, the face of some people seems inexpressive, and the whole monument - slightly reflecting the essence of this, undoubtedly, an outstanding personality, capable of the most extraordinary manifestations of emotions.

Whatever it was, the main criteria for the success of the composition were her assessments of family members, Naina Iosifovna's widow, friends and relatives. They better know what was Yeltsin. The monument is dynamic, it seems to be moving, that's exactly what Boris Nikolayevich was, making mistakes and exploits, who managed to voluntarily give up power.
