Modern missile weapons of Ukraine. High-Precision Weapons of Ukraine

Back in 2006, the government remembered that everything necessary to create missiles was located on the territory of Dnepropetrovsk. As is known, during the collapse of the USSR, Ukraine abandoned its nuclear potential. But in connection with the unfolding events at the moment there are more rumors that the country is again ready to start developing missiles and other ground-based weapons. Thus, it is worth paying attention to the actions of the state in recent years to determine what modern missile weapons of Ukraine can be produced on the territory of this country.

History of the resumption of missile development

In 2009, a budget appeared in the country's budget to allocate funds for the creation of a military missile, which will be called "Sapsan". This case took a little less than 7 million dollars. The project is the creation of a multifunctional operational-tactical complex to enhance the country's ability to stand up for itself. Most of the funds were directed to the design bureau "Yuzhnoye", which is located in Dnepropetrovsk. In the same year, the bureau was able to protect the draft design and inform the government of the benefits of its development. At that time, the Ministry of Defense fully supported the project and considered it necessary to create it. Another reason for the resumption of missile production was the fact that by 2015-2016, that is, by the present moment, the weapons that were in Ukraine will become unsuitable and will be subject to write-off. Therefore, when Viktor Yanukovich took over, he supported the continuation of the production of the Sapsan complex in 2011. And in 2012 the project was suspended due to funding. But despite such interruptions in financing, in the designer of the bureau they continue to create weapons of Ukraine, the types of which are very diverse.

Sapsan now

The Director of the Bureau tried to support the development, but still it did not work out. At first the project lost the priority of importance, and then it was completely dropped. At the moment, the only prospect that awaits Ukraine regarding this complex is 2018. It is this much time that the bureau needs to complete the project and provide the missile complex for testing. At first, it was assumed that the range of the missiles would be 280 kilometers with an accuracy of a couple of meters, but now Yuzhnoye proposes to increase the range to 500 kilometers.

Scud missile

Back in 2010, it was stated that the liquid fuel rockets "Scud" were completely destroyed as a missile weapon of Ukraine. They were created during the Second World War. By the way, this model is considered one of the most widespread around the world. Recently it turned out that nevertheless some copies of this weaponry on the territory of the country exist, and are actively used in the antiterrorist operation in the struggle between the east of Ukraine and the armed forces of the country. It is worth noting that, despite the range of this weapon (the radius of damage is up to 300 kilometers), it is very inaccurate, hit the target may deviate to a sufficiently indefinite distance up to 500 meters. At the same time, the unit weighs almost a ton.

The "Tochka" rocket

Ukraine still claims that it does not use these missiles. In order for the missile system to work, you need to know in advance the location of the enemy. Four warheads with precisely specified coordinates are produced. The impact is applied depending on the established coordinates and range, which is firing. The error can be from 10 to 200 meters. One warhead hits from 2 to about 6 hectares. The missile's flight speed exceeds 1000 meters per second. This weapon can play a decisive role in any fight. But officially, Ukrainians refuse to use this type of weapon. One can only wonder whether this warhead makes up the missile weapon of Ukraine.

Rocket "Grom-2"

Back in the early nineties the Dnepropetrovsk design bureau presented the idea of producing the operational-tactical missile "Grom-2". The range of its flight should be 500 meters. The original name of this project is "Borisfen". At that time, through this missile complex, a new protective shield of Ukraine was to be created in place of obsolete weapons. At that time, there were more than 200 launchers of the Scud and Tochka-U missiles in the country. But taking into account the social and economic state of the country, the creation of missiles was an irrelevant issue. In addition, the army was then constantly shrinking. Then the state bureau "Southern" began sending sketches of their inventions to foreign exhibitions, where these missiles were called "Thunder". Military weapons and equipment of Ukrainian production often attract attention at similar international exhibitions. These developments presupposed the creation of high-precision weapons belonging to a new generation that would be able to provide a shield to the country, capable of resisting a non-nuclear attack. The missile system was designed to defeat stationary group and single targets. The range of the missiles would be from 80 to 500 kilometers. At the same time, rockets would be light enough, less than half a ton. It was planned to create an inertial-type onboard system equipped with navigation and guidance. The launcher would have an automatic character, and the basis for it would be a chassis with a set of automatic preparations for launching warheads.

Korshun-2 rocket

One of the priority tasks of the Dnepropetrovsk Design Bureau is the development of the Korshun-2 missile and missile armament system. It is a multifunctional missile complex, whose main task is to provide the shield of the country, capable of resisting a non-nuclear attack. The project will use cruise missiles capable of hitting ground targets. In theory, he could represent Ukraine's missile weapons in full. The payload of the missiles does not exceed a weight of half a ton, and the range of the warhead is 300 kilometers. The estimated mass of the combat equipment of the complex will be 480 kilograms. The new cruise missile will reach a flight altitude of 50 kilometers with the ability to skirt around the terrain, taking into account its terrain.

"Ukraine". Rocket cruiser

In the armament of the country there is also a missile cruiser, but, unfortunately, its use is impossible. Therefore, the head of the naval forces decided to sell it. On the money received, the country will be able to replenish its resources to protect water areas. The main problem of the missile cruiser lies in the fact that almost 80 percent of the vessel works through Russian equipment. This missile cruiser could well represent the high-precision weapons of Ukraine. At the moment, such products are not produced on the territory of Ukraine, so the ship costs, as they say, nothing to do, and can not serve the good of the motherland. Unfortunately, the prime cost of the cruiser in the market is much lower than the country spent on its creation and maintenance, but now it is more profitable for the state to sell it than to continue to maintain and maintain the fortune. It could represent a new weapon of war for Ukraine, because in equipping the ship there is a medium-range anti-aircraft missile system , there are installations for anti-ship missiles, as well as 3 batteries of 30mm six-barreled guns. The cruiser is equipped with a torpedo tube, an artillery system, and this is not all that is installed on it.

Weapon

It is known that the modern small arms of the world Ukraine will not be used until 2016. At the moment, every Ukrainian soldier has in his equipment a version of the Kalashnikov assault rifle, one of the models of TT, PM or PS pistols, as well as a wide variety of hand grenades. In some cases, there are hand machine guns and grenade launchers. For fighters of some units sniper rifles are issued. There are models of Ukrainian-made weapons and units purchased abroad. Almost all of this weapons remained from Soviet times. But the command is not going to stop on the obsolete models, already now there are non-standard models representing the new small arms of Ukraine. They are created both within the state and abroad. Basically, among the new weapons there are sniper rifles, pistols and other aggregates for single weapons.

Nuclear weapons of Ukraine

According to experts, Ukraine does not have enough money to create an atomic bomb. After all, everything else is present in the state in a large number. Resources are mined in local mines, and scientists have remained and are ready to resume their labor activities. In addition, in Ukraine there are carriers capable of delivering a ready bomb to the territory of the enemy. In addition, there is also the technique necessary to create a warhead. As we see, Ukrainian nuclear weapons still exist, at least in the opinion of experts and analysts. Everybody understands perfectly well that there is no money for this country, but the option of using old reserves is quite possible. During the disarmament of the country, part of the stockpile of weapons was lost. For example, one nuclear warhead and two strategic bombers are missing. In the late nineties, it was officially announced the elimination of all nuclear missiles in the territory, but over time, more than thirty combat units were found in warehouses. Therefore, according to foreign experts, if the weapon is found, it is enough to cause warning strikes and not only.
